  1. Gotcha covered here with the pics Nick!
  2. Lookin' good there Nick! Glad to see you made it over!
  3. Gator and Carl: Thanks a lot fellas! The truck bed is coming right along and I hope to be done with that part by Friday.
  4. Cool project Stephen! One things for sure, you got plenty of reference material. lol. This looks to be some good fun to watch.
  5. Thanks Dan! I'll be building around it. I'll probably build the truck bed and get everything else going so the flames will be the last thing that needs to be done if everything goes right.
  6. Thanks Dave!! I just wasn't feelin' the paint job from earlier so in the brake fluid it went to strip everything and started the whole process over again only this time the paint came out smoother and I actually made it to the clear coat this time around Here it is with the paint and the clear. I still have to apply the flames (which I ordered an adhesive template today from Australia) and clear it again. Then it'll be down to polishing and buffing out the clear. We're gettin' there folks! Here's a mock up with the grille just stuck in place:
  7. Thanks Danno!!! I had a blast with this thing. She aint perfect but it's about 70% original.
  8. What a color!!!! Good build.
  9. Dang Randy!! Talkin' about sensory overload with the beauties here! Nice bunch of Camaro's bud!
  10. Preciate it Gator! I aint gonna lie, exterior gloss finishes are my weakness. I'll get this sucker nailed one way or another though.
  11. I like the looks of that cowl hood on that C/K. Cool project Dan!
  12. I dare say...................yes. Overkill?...............probably yes. Overcautious? ..............definitely. I think I got everything covered in that 2 hours though to include re-shooting the cab and front fenders. I really didn't like how it turned out the first time. I may have a tailgate hinge or two got left out and that'll be about it.
  13. Ed: Now that is funny right there! Thanks bud! Carl: I used a really small dot of super glue applied with a toothpick. Dan: Thanks Dan! It would be nice if I'm finished with it so I can take it but one things for sure; I'm not going to hurry things up at the last minute to meet a deadline. I'm either done with it or I aint. If not, then there'll be the Houston show next April. I'm still going regardless of this build's completion status though. Yesterday I spent two hours in the paint booth getting everything body wise painted red. It's Tamiya acrylic paint so I'm guessing it wouldn't take near as long to dry out as enamel would.
  14. Man that whole thing looks freekin' great so far to me Dan! I like what you've done to that engine. Great detail!!!!
  15. For not being into it you sure did a helluva job!
  16. Aww man that sucks. He really entertained a lot of folks and definitely left his mark for some time to come.
  17. Thanks Ray! Here's the latest ..................
  18. Thanks Carl!!! I'm gonna put a set of keys in the seat as well. lol
  19. Gotcha covered Tom! http://www.hobbylinc.com/detail-master-interior-junk-plastic-model-vehicle-accessory-kit-1:24-1:25-scale-2380
  20. I'm sure it will Darren. With all the planning you've got you'll get at there very least really close to what you're after.
  21. Say.................you may be on to something.......
  22. Thanks Mark, Tim and Ed!!! Ed: I don't know if its the angle of the photos or what but there's more room between the dash and the steering wheel than it looks. What I did have trouble with was getting the steering wheel off of the seat because the standoff bracket between the column and the dash was too long.
  23. Well here we are with the interior about 70-80% completed. The aluminum steering column helped ALOT as well as the steering wheel from the Barris T Buggy kit. All brake and accelerator pedals are PE as well as the Hot Rod Magazine in the front seat. Instrument panel and radio trim are Chrome BMF. The steering wheel spokes and center are AB'd with Alclad. I still have a set of keys and some Oakley sunglasses to paint up and adhere to the seat beside the magazine. I've got some clean up to do here and there but it's getting closer folks..... and a far off shot to show overall progress....
