  1. Very impressive work. A combination of resin and printed parts works very well indeed. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Looking very "beachy" Bernie! Looking forward to seeing this one in the under glass section. Love the paint also.
  3. Very clever use of what had been left over stuff.
  4. Both the Ford and the Plymouth are very impressive .You obviously aren't shy about major conversions are outstanding projects. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Well done....well done indeed!
  6. I start all kit based builds the same way,if no custom work is involved I go over the body removing flash and mold marks like seperation lines and ejector pin marks. Next up is fill and sand sink marks, etc. I next do the same process with other sub assembly items for interior, chassis, engine and drive train. The paint process is done after subassemblies are glued togeather to minimize handling. I leave all parts on the sprue untill needed(if you could see my workbench bench you would understand). I am 100% a rattle can man so a lot of small stuff is mounted on toothpicks and those clamped in spring loaded clothes pins. Do what ever works best for you.
  7. Thanks guys. Incidentally as I am somewhat dyslexic I am not Suing that method I will he Using it.:)
  8. Great 2017 on your bench for sure! Thanks for sharing.
  9. I am "gobsmacked" with the paint quality and our productivity is impressive.
  10. Not in my wheel house but all done expertly and a high degree of knowledge of the subject matter
  11. What an outstanding year you had! looks like you're no stranger to resin kits either. Is that tri-tone beauty a Packard Partician ? I also think I spy an Andy Martin Center door Ford T sedan way back in the right hand end of your display case. Thanks for sharing with us!
  12. Sointnty! I know a guy dat knows a guy dat can make it all go away.
  13. I accessed the Krylon website and there is nothing called "make it suede"anywhere to be found.Hobby Lobby doesn't carry it and I had one Walmart employee tell me they USED to carry it.A internet search turns up absolutely nothing. I think i'm going to use a flat rattle can shot from a distance and try for some scale texture suing that method.
  14. Tanks Joe,youze was right in da foist place. I finished it with Da scribe tool. Woikd great.
  15. Very nice work and a benchmark paint job. Thanks for sharing.
  16. I just watched this entire film and have to say that is it was most impressive indeed. If you watch this through to the end and are wondering the finished cars are for the1938 model year.
  17. I am thinking about trying this method on a 1937 Chevy convertible I am building as a tow vehicle for the scratch built 1936 Aerocar 20 ft travel trailer. The hitch for these very unique trailers is done goose neck style. The nose of these trailers looks lot like the beak for a bird of prey curving forward and down to a point. The attaching device is a horizontialy mounted aircraft tire on a specially rim secured into what would have been the rumble seat area of the tow vehicle. That requires removal of the trunk/rumble seat lid of the '37. I have started with a Trumpeter scribing tool and am considering finishing the job using the thread method. My biggest concern is how do I hold the body secure while obviouly using both hands to work the thread. I don't think my hobby Vacu-vise is a good option with the curved body panels of the Chevy.Any suggestions ??
  18. I'm "hooked". Looking forward to future posts.
  19. Very slick body swap. Good eye for proportions. Also an impressive click of finished models on your bench. Thanks for Including them on your post.
  20. Very clever cuts to flatten the shoebox roof profile. I doubt most builders would have made that effort. Thanks for sharing.
  21. This is going to be an outstanding model. Your modifications to this point are very impressive and well done. The cuts look well planned so that may bode well for your final bodywork. I look forward to watching this one progress. "Praise the lowered"
  22. One of those those curious minds did a quick search and found that Motor City Resin offers it for $ 70.00 and it builds a promo style kit in case anyone else is interested.
