The last three models I finished were based on resin offerings from either Jimmy Flintstone or Model Martin and all were assembled completely using super glue and there were no problems.

Is the stock version available in 1/25 scale?

I hear what you are saying about levels of skill.I have been building models for about 60 years so am fairly comfortable with my current skill level but I see some things on these forums that are truly amazing such as engines made completely from scratch out of metal and know that I will never be able to do that.I am completely OK with that and admire those capable of such things.If you were going to consider those turbos I am sure there are builders on these forums that would more that willing to assist you with that kind of thing.You mentioned opening the truck and doors.Have you ever done that before? Personally I think the trunk easiest but a close look at those door lines tells me there is too little material between the door glass and the roof or the rear door edge for me to attempt that.I see things like that done with great skill but the effort simply is not worth it to me personally. The main thing to remember here is that you should always build to suit yourself and what ever you decide to do will the right thing to make this project into what you want it to be.Is your native language Spanish?

There is a plastics vendor in Lima,Ohio called U.S.Plastics that has an outlet store open to the public. I have gotten some large pieces of sheet styrene there in the past. They have shelves loaded with left over stock and overruns of various sizes.l will see what they have the next time I am in there and let you know.

I have been thinking about what I might be tempted to do next if this were on MY work bench.I believe I would shorten the interior bucket to be more in line with that newly redesigned cowl you did so nicely to open up that area just behind the engine.The next thought is just what to do with all that space that is now available just behind the engine.......HMMMMM...lets see..shortening the frame rails would work of course...Or do something really unusual and original and fabricate something unique in that space like some turbo chargers.You could route the engine exhaust to the turbos then to the intake manifold and carbs.Could be a real eye catching set up that would take some work of course but would look very neat.Dare to be different I say!!

Nice work cutting down that cowl section. The angle of the cut is perfect.In case no one explained the American slang term "digging it",it definitely means he likes it. Glad to see you are enjoying your project.

It's a shame this is not available in 1/25. The first time I saw this design I thought it surely was just a design exercise and not a real truck. Sure enough it was in fact not only real but also a very daring adventure design exercise. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

I have been fastening my collection of Chevy promos down into those clear cases for decades. I recommend using twist ties instead of rubber bands. The rubber bands eventually get brittle and break. They sometimes also stick to a discolor the clear plastic. I have over 200 on display right now done like that with no problems at all.

I just finished a '27 Ford speedster with that Krylon burgundy.I shot it with Krylon grey primer then used gloss black as the base for the burgundy. End result is exactly what I wanted. I discovered this by spraying the same burgundy on a spoon primed with Krylon white primer as well as one with the gloss black and was amazed at the difference. You could flatten the burgundy with either a satin or flat top coat to replicate leather or cloth.

Wally World also stopped stocking the large cans of grey primer. Michaels Crafts still has it and offers a 40 off coupon which helps keep the cost down.

That trim piece on the real cars protected an area that was prone to rock and gravel damage common in that era. It would have been either polished stainless or chrome steel. Using bare metal foil should work.
