  1. Please do and talk to a member of their team to let them know there is a bunch of speed freak model builders out here needing some dimensions so they can build .models of their award winning race car.
  2. Thanks for the updated photos. I have been noticing the weather there and figured that your weed covered hillside should be buried under ice and snow about now thus giving you some time for model building. Have a safe and productive winter.
  3. Yes I am that same guy all these years later and still building models.
  4. You might consider posting this in the "wanted" section for more interest.
  5. Imho this looks way too long.
  6. Unusual choice for a lawman special ride. Great idea. That for sharing.
  7. That's a real period correct modification as many real '59 and '60 Chevs had their tail fins pierced like that in the '70's.
  8. I hope your experience here is a positive one Beau. We can build our way through this pandemic I think if stay positive and find enjoyment in our common hobby.
  9. Glad to see another modeler on the forums but Not for the reason you are returning to modeling. I hope the building brings you some enjoyment, What do you like to build?
  10. Both very nicely done! Thanks for sharing them with us.
  11. Naturally we as responsible people don't want anything to be wasted so make sure that whatever was in that very useful wrapper doesn't go to waste( waist?) So we be sure the contents are eaten in its entirety.
  12. Nice job Greg. Yours looks a lot more realistic than mine does. Mine is in one of those closed interiors where they will barely be seen if at all. Have a meaningful Christmas season.
  13. Looking forward to seeing your models and techniques. Welcome aboard!
  14. Great to see another hot rod builder on the forums. Hope your experience is positive and you heal well. Welcome!
  15. I see this type of return to the hobby a lot lately. Glad you are back at the work bench Mike.
  16. Enjoy the forums and build your way through this pandemic thing.
  17. I am working on '59 IH Metro step van interior and needed to add add knobs to the end of turn signal and shift lever arms. The rods are made from paper clip wire so the knobs needed to be rather tiny. My solution was to hold the lever arms with the knob end down and ease a drop of super glue onto the end. That automatically assumes a tear drop shape. I then add a small amount of kicker just above the glue and it flows down over the glue hardening into the knob I wanted. Quick and simple solution.
  18. Well praise the lowered that stance is so perfect!
  19. I was a little confused when I first started reading this thread. The title reads Stump Buster so I sort of expected to see a '57 with some kind of a huge diesel engine and giant tires ready to pull tree stumps out by the roots. Finally realized this is Slump Buster built to help pull you out of a slump. Silly me!
  20. Close and steady gets it done. It isn't a race anymore at our age.
  21. Thanks for posting your work. Seeing progressive construction helps Us all understand your thought process. You obviously have a working knowledge of these vehicles and their inner working details.
  22. Remember that in a lot of places all the hobby shops are closed do to Covid and the internet is some modelers only kit source.
  23. That 50% off is Christmas stuff, some of which has been on display since July.
  24. What time frame is your diorama set in?
  25. If you have never built a model before I suggest starting simple, maybe with a snap kit of something you like. Jumping in too deep with a lot of complicated body modification and details that can become overwhelming and discouraging. Every possible question you can have can be answered by the members here. Welcome.
