  1. Very nice! Looks good with the white interior. I worked on a 71 hemi cuda that color this last week. Wow that color is bright!
  2. Really appreciate all the great comments everyone and thanks for following along. Been slow at the bench due to nice weather and the honey do list. Got a couple hour's in tonight and worked on the tail end getting the bmf applied. I Filled the tail lamp housings again and then did the lip of the housing. And then finished off with the trim under the trunk lid and down the sides...... And here's with the lenses set in the housing. The right hand lens don't fit to well. I'll see if that can be fixed. I stripped the chrome off of the blower. Then I cut a small piece of brass rod to mount the pulley to. The hole on the front of the blower was opened up to fit the rod and the piece glued in. The last pic is what I'm thinking of using to top off this hemi, but I'm not sure yet. More to come and thanks for looking........
  3. Managed to get a little play time with the charger. Worked on the body details started putting on the bmf. I did the front and rear window moldings and the wing windows. Got the door handles. Then I went for the rear. Put bmf in the tail lamp housing for reflection. Then was getting ready to add some of the chrome around the tail lights, looked at a pic of the rear and saw it was to be black. I removed bmf from the tail lamp housing and started masking for the black. Used bmf to mask up to where the chrome is under the trunk lid and down the sides... Then covered the body with plastic wrap so as not to disturb the already done bmf around the windows. I painted the rear panel black. I think it came out ok except for the one spot on the left just below the trunk lid. Not too worry. The chrome trim will cover it. That's it for now. Paul
  4. Nice collection! Like the mopar junkers. Some of those cars remind me of building monogram kits of the 80's.

  6. Great looking chevelle! The wheel Choice is perfect.
  7. I have one of those in my stash. Never thought about building it into a old school trailer. Really well done ! That's a nice looking digger you got there too!

  10. Very cool! Nice work and great details!
  11. Finished the long block tonight. Been trying to get a color on the valve covers that looked good to me. I painted these parts 3 times and I think the last color is going to stay. The distributor is mounted and wires run. Now if I can just figure out the blower. It's chrome right now but I think it going to end up being painted. Here's a few pics.......... That's it for now.............
  12. Really appreciate all the comments everyone. Been doing some work on the engine and getting the wheels together. Had to come up with some wheel backs to fit the tires. I'll have a update soon. Hi gene, I bend the rod with my fingers. I'v tried all kinds of ways to do this and using my fingers I think works best. O thing I never use is heat. Ruined a lot of parts that way. Hi don, No tubs on this one. Didn't want to put the effort in that area. I'm just taking a lousy kit and making the best of the parts in the kit and making a few along the way. Paul

  18. Nice! You do some clean work!
  19. Made some progress today and have a update on the charger. The first thing I got done was finish priming and painting the roll cage. I painted it the same color as the car. Helps carry the body color into the interior.............. Spent awhile trying to figure out what to do with the engine bay color. When the chassis was painted, I also painted the inner fenders black. When mocking up things, that black just wasn't doing it for me.............. The idea that came up was to first extend the roll cage into the engine bay to take up some of the empty space.................. Made up the parts and drilled a couple holes and this is what it looks like.......... Then I primed and painted the color I thought would look the best and I think it came out ok. Things are just mocked up right now and still have to do the rad support..... More to come....................
  20. Great work, Came out really nice!
  21. excellent work! Has a beautiful finish too! But I'm not to sure about that steering wheel position. I understand That That's the way they did this back in the day, but just imagine what it was like to drive it!

  25. Got a little more done and I'm real happy to see the yellow going away. mnwildpunk, Sorry for assaulting your eyes. Hope this update helps Thanks for the advise tubbs. Thought about adding more bars to the cage. Well, I ended up doing it. Added the down bars and also put the rear bars in place. Just hope it goes back in easier than it was coming out. Broke it coming out the first time...... Engine has been primed and painted. Did some paint details and put bmf on the front cover. Then cleared........ And here is the body. It was sprayed with MM dark brown metallic. That's it for now. Thanks for looking.
