  1. Thank you bob. I had did not know they were down. They were there in my photobucket album. Just reloaded them.
  2. Nice looking GTX! Looks very clean. Paul
  3. very nice! Excellent choice of color and application. Really like the details, very well done. I like this! Just to help out, All 1967 chevelle Super sports had chrome trim around the wheel opening and on the rocker panel. Its the only way they came. If you were to order a Malibu in that year it did not have chrome trim around the wheel opening or on the rocker panel. It had a chrome strip low down the side of the car along the door line. Hope this helps. Paul
  4. Thank you all for the great comments! Just out of curiosity I went back and looked to see when I started this project......1-17-2009...........???......Are you kidding me!!. Man I'm slow. Harry, I did consider putting a small square hole in the filler panel to give the idea of a latch, but never did it. Just got lazy I guess! Thinking about it I should have done pins. Again, Thanks for the kind words! Paul
  5. It's under glass................
  6. Last couple pics................ Thanks for looking Paul
  7. And a few more..................
  8. Just finished this build in the W.I.P section. Started this build with the mpc 1969 charger 500 kit. My goal was to use as much of the kit as possible, Add big meats in the back and little's in the front, a few aftermarket parts for the engine and some scratch building. Nothing fancy under the car but I took a picture anyway....................
  9. Engines in the car, radiator is installed and the grill is ready to put on. One of the last things I did was make a filler panel to go between the rad support and grill to fill the void. I think it helped finish the engine bay.............. The grill was put on and i made a upper rad hose and put it in place........... Well, This is my last post on this build. I think it's finished!! Oh Snap, That darn rear bumper fell off as I was showing the car to my wife before I was going to take some pictures! I hate that! Have already put the bumper back on and will take pictures before the rest of it falls apart. Thanks to everyone who followed along during this build and appreciate all the great comments! Paul
  10. That is some excellent interior craftsmanship. Turned out beautiful! Great build so far! Paul
  11. Niko, That's exactly the area I'm having a problem with. I did get the bumper on the best I could by taking a little off the bottom. It needs to be rotated down but you can't do that because of the bumper guards. Looks terrible from the side, no so bad from the rear. I'm not going to try and do anything else to fix the issue as I feel lucky I was even able to get it on the car anyway! Thanks fred for offering your assistance Thanks for the comments everyone! Paul
  12. Engine waiting to go into car................ So now I'm working on getting the rear bumper installed. And it won't go in. Gave up last night and not sure what it's going to take to get it in there! Never thought about pre fitting the rear bumper! Thanks for looking and more to come.......... Paul
  13. Been making some headway trying to get this wrapped up, And its close. So here's what got done. Cleaned up the windows and installed them to the body. The tail lamp lenses were fit and put in place along with the gas cap on top of the rear quarter. The body is all finished and ready for final assembly. The interior tub is done and also ready for final assembly. So that leaves the engine. It still needed a fuel pump, fuel lines finished, throttle cable done. The Radiator got paint but still needed a cooling fan. I just about gave up hope finding one in all my parts kits. Finally found just what I was looking for in a old amt corvette zr-1 kit. It has two fans and I only need one, so the radiator was cut in half and I filed the part until all that was left is the fan...... IMO this is one of the best looking cooling fans i'v found in any kit. It just takes some work to get to it. A funny car parts kit gave up its fuel pump for use on this engine. The pump was cut into three pieces and put back together making a smaller pump. Holes were drilled for lines a small bung added....... The pump was painted and lines added........... Then made up the 2 fittings to go on the hoses to hookup to the fuel pump. When I started the fuel lines I had enough fittings to do all of them the same but ruined 2 of them trying to drill them out. For the throttle cable I used a piece of pop can to make the mount, left over red plug wire for the cable and a very small strand of wire to make the spring......
  14. Great Build! Very clean work and nice paint.
  15. Very well done! The paint is interesting as is the turbos in the rear quarters! I like your outside of the box thinking.
  16. Very nice! I really like the paint on the willy's.
  17. Wow, This is a great diorama! You are very talented on getting all the details looking so real!
  18. That's some really nice work. Excellent paint and detail!
  19. Excellent work! Came out very nice! I see you put on the "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW" exhaust!
  20. That's a pretty wild paint job. Interesting build!
  21. Excellent paint work and detail! I really like it with the top off Paul
  22. Good looking combo. Nice work.
  23. The type of pump that is being used is a electric inline pump (meziere is the company that builds the 1.1). This pump mounts to the bottom outlet of the radiator and the hoses from the heads mount to the pump. The system will have a upper hose that goes to the engine also. To make the pump a couple pieces of styrene were glued together and carved into the shape of the body of the pump. This part was glued to a piece of sprue. A hole was drilled in one end of the pump to put a locating pin. A hole was drilled in the radiator for the pin to mount the pump. The radiator was built awhile back. I made some brackets to finish it off. Still have some fitting to do so I'm not quit done yet, but this is where its at now................. Thanks for looking, More to come..................... Paul
  24. The cooling system took a bit to figure out. Since there is no water pump on the engine and trying to make a pump fit behind the blower belt was a challenge in it self, I had to look at other options. After searching the web for awhile for ideas, This is what I came up with. First thing to do was to make the cooling hoses. They are made using heater hose from msc model products, A few brass compression fittings and some wire that fit inside the hose. The hose was a little bigger than the fittings so it was shaved down and sliced at a angle and then the fitting slipped right on. Next the wire was pushed into the hose leaving enough hanging out to put into a hole that is drilled into the front of each cylinder head. The reason for the wire is so the hose will hold its shape after its bent............. Then the hose was routed to the radiator............. There's more in just a little bit...............
  25. I appreciate all the comments and thanks for following along. I think I managed to get the body all done. After the hood was primed, I found a couple areas to work on. Afterward the hood was primed and ready for paint.............. It's been awhile since the body was painted and was trying to remember how many coats of paint to lay down. Ended up doing two light coats color and 3 clear coats. This seem to match up with the body color really well.......... The hood was left to dry all week. Sat down Friday night and polished it out. I'm happy it matches so well with the body even thought they were painted 1 year apart............... Mike, If you mean their custom lacquer system, Yes. Part# 28111. Worked on the cooling system last night and today....
