  1. Nice work on both!
  2. You do some very clean work! The paint color is just so right for this car. Beautiful!
  3. Very nice! Love the colors. Some well done kit bashing going on here!
  4. Great job - And fast too!! It almost looks like it's right out of a drawing or something!
  5. Another item I worked on was a 4-speed shifter. I didn't want to just put a handle sticking out of the floor so I looked at some options. I decided to build a vertical gate style 4-speed shifter. Only thing is, I'm going to try and carve it as I think it's the best way to do this. Here's how I did it........... And here's the handle.......... Next I made the gate lever and attached it to the handle............. Then using tin strips of pop can I made the bottom part of the gate lever.... Threw some paint on it and this is what I ended up with. Still have to mount it to the console and also make the reverse lever. Thanks for looking. More to come...............
  6. Have a small update as I managed to get something done. Started looking at seat options, actually test fit a couple different styles. But I ended up back with the kit seats. They are kind of plane looking and need a little more than just adding seat belts. What I'm going to try and do is make a pair of headrests. I figured the thickness that was needed and glued some styrene together...... Some cutting and sanding and this is what I have to work with.......... And now there is two!. Holes are drilled in the bottom of the headrest's for the pins that will be used to mount them to the top of the seats The holes were drilled in the top of the seat and the headrest test fit.............. A little more time getting the shape to match and get some paint on them and the seats. Then I can work on the belts. May also have to lower the seat too.
  7. Excellent work stan! The engine compartment look's perfect and paint look's really smooth. Love the stance too! Your effort show's and it was fun to watch you build it. Great job!
  8. Good things come in time and your '65 turned out really good! Nice looking engine bay too!
  9. Very clean work! Well done.
  10. Great work! Love the worn seats!
  11. Thank you everyone for the kind comments. Got some time in on the dash. Worked on the dash face first. It was cover with a piece of sheet styren to cover the the original gauges. Then it was painted and cleared with the body color. I also added a few detail bits............. The new gauge package was then painted and the gauges detailed. I taped off the dash face and painted the rest of the dash to match the rest of the interior. The gauges were then mounted to the dash............... The console top was painted and BMF was added around the outer edges.......... And here is what it looks like........... Still more work to be done on the interior. More to come......... Paul
  12. That's some excellent looking detail work stan. And the engine looks great!. Nice work! Paul

  15. Very nice! Love the color and the wheels.
  16. Thanks for the comments everyone! Have a small update tonight. Been trying to figure out what to do with the dash. Just had to do something to it because I don't think it would ever look anywhere near good just painting it. So this is what I came up with to fix it up a bit. Went through the parts box and came up with a gauge setup out of a funny car. It has 4 gauges and a tach. The idea I have is to have it somewhat floating on the dash. Since I wanted the tach to stay with the rest of the gauges, I cut a hole in the dash for the tach to fit through The bar was trimmed a little here and there. I drilled a hole in the dash and took a piece of rod bent on the end. put it through the hole and pulled it up tight on the dash. The gauge bar was fit to the rod and glued. And this is what I ended up with. Can't wait to paint this part to cover the yellow! Thanks for looking and more to come..............
  17. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to look at and comment on this project. Really appreciate the comments on the paint color. I was not sure if I would even like it, but you all have assured me it was a good choice. Hey BIG NICKEY.... The blower belt came with the kit I got from detail master. I do have a small update. Worked on the engine last couple nights. If you look at the pics of the engine you'll see the plate I made that goes between the blower and the injector hat. I made the lines that go from the fuel block to the sides of the plate. The wire I used is out of a grab bag of wire I have and have no idea where i got it from. The little so called fittings were cut from a length of plastic necklace from a .25 cent toy machine. And a couple pics of it on the engine............... That's it for now, more to come...........
  18. Here's a few mockup pics............ Thanks for looking and more to come.......... Paul
  19. Been a couple weeks since a update. Just haven't had much time to build lately. Worked on the blower some more. I made the blower bigger as it looked to small when the engine was in the car. Took some sheet styrene and glued them together. I then shaped it and attached it to the back of the blower and added the end plate. Made the adapter that the injector hat and fuel lines go to also.......... Ended up painting the blower body color and wrapped the adapter with BMF. Before the blower was mounted to the engine I added a coil to finish the ignition. Here's a pic of the engine...... And in the engine bay............ Got the wheels mounted to the tires.
