You are correct. There is another thread all about the Watts link system. I guess it is "floating" versus independent like a Corvette. I suppose the parts on the model could be modified to be correct.

I would consider a trade for some or perhaps all of what you see here. I have the Monogram and MPC Pace car decals plus the Cafe Race kit which was probably modified from the Pace Car. PM me if you have anything unique to trade.

Does Firebird plan to offer the decals? Great build by the way.

Uggh - that molded in green one. Use lots of primer.

Did Brad stop making them? Send him a check and he would probably make one.

Fantastic work. I have some of their decals for future projects.

Super sweet and welcome to the 68 Shelby club. Good choice on the 69 engine as it includes the ramair air cleaner.

Original Bullitt Mustang Rediscovered
vamach1 replied to afx's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It is hard to get into the head of why someone buys a unique car and then holds onto it until they die. I have owned my 72 Mach1 for 37 years. Now if someone offered me twice what it as worth I might sell it only if I could find a better replacement. People get attached to a car and most cars people hold onto do not end up being worth millions. Most logical people wold have sold the car five or ten or twenty years ago but time has a way of slipping by. The son is a complete fool if he does not sell it which would ensure his family an income for a few generations after the IRS or state tries to get a cut. -
Original Bullitt Mustang Rediscovered

The VINs of both cars have been authenticated. There was a story in Mustang Monthly about 20 year s ago about this hidden Mustang and the owner had no intention of letting anyone see it. The son came to his senses after the father died. This car may be worth multi millions, -
Count me in for a couple.

You can paint the emblems or use the Keith Marks or old Fred Cady decals.
