  1. Too bad some cannot just build models and post about the and leave all the other nonsense to Facebook and Twitter.
  2. People forget that side of the equation. If they wait to a customer orders something instead of stocking items, takes payment and then the supplier has a backlog, finally ships the stuff and then the vendor does not pay quickly, the customer is going to be upset not knowing what is going on. I would prefer to only deal with people that either make the product on if they are a reseller they need let the customer know right away if the item is in stocker not.
  3. Looking good Cobrman. I wish I could crank out kits at your pace.
  4. Green with envy. Nice group. Too bad the 289 hipo was discontinued after 1967.
  5. 71 Boss 351 with < 900 miles went for $175K at Mecum. Not many Mustangs and some of the Mach1s were reasonable. The MPC Bosss kit is still bad- LOL.
  6. See what you started. Just say no to a GM powered Cobra.
  7. That side decal is far too big - just paint it. I have found if a simple part does fit just find a replacement. No one is going to care if you use 100% kit parts. From what I can see there is a lot of chrome trim that needs to be painted or covered with bare foil. There are very few kits I would say are perfect - they all have some issues.
  8. More info please on the Mark IV and Boss 302. These are my 1/43rd builds.
  9. I saw them in concert. Love the Zombie song. She was only 46.
  10. Did anyone notice they found the 2nd car that was kept in hiding for 40 years?
  11. We knew you could not stay away from Cobras. It is an addiction with no known cure.
  12. Batman likes 71-73 Mustangs. Do not question the Batman.
  13. Good point. That is just on my many gripes about the MPC version. The AMT kt hood does not have the vents. That was one thing that makes the 71-73s unique along with hidden wipers. You would think the mold could have been fixed in 45 years but clearly they just do not care.
  14. See my updated post.
  15. You can get the coupe kit from Motorcity resin casters. It has the correct grille and hood.
  16. Very nice work Randy. I know there has been some trial and error with this one. Hopefully Missing Link will cast more parts to allow builders to make either a Boss 351, 351 4v Mach1, or 429 CJ. All we need is: a realistic engine compartment like the Revelll 69/70 kits, a true 1/25th 351 (RIP SMBC) Cleveland and a 429 engine, ram air plenum and air cleaner, accurate dual exhaust system with oval mufflers, FOMOCO hub caps and trim rings, decals (available from Keith Marks) and some decent molded door panels. Needless to say this is the reason a new tool is needed as Round 2 is not going to invest in improving the existing one. Since that is unlikely to happen I'm going to cobble what I can together to build a semi-decent replica of several 71-73 Mustangs. FYI - Keith Marks also has decals for the Europa and Sprint versions. R&M has a mold for the standard flat hood that I gave to Norman many years ago. ML is supposed to be doing more parts courtesy of me destroying a Danbury Mint Boss 351. Rex PS Sorry to hijack the thread but I wanted everyone to know you do not have to settle for what comes in the box. At
  17. Dang that clear resin looks nice.
  18. Nice to see not every model posted is all new and shiny. Keep up the great work.

Did you do a full engine or just the top half? The air cleaners look great.
  20. The decal sheet looks great but not sure $50+ is worth it as I have no interest in the Pickup and trailer.
  21. Cool color. It's too bad real Shelbys were limited to a few color choices.
  22. Brad (Harold Bradford) is in Laurel MD. 301-604-8591. Mention JC, Rex and Gary and the Cobras you are building.
  23. I still have one but with four coats of paint on it.
  24. I am guessing the Shelby registry books have all the info you would ever need on the Competition cars. Not sure the last time SAAC updated them and they are probably over $ 200 if you can find one.
