All of them are great but my favorite is the 69 Shelby.

Great color combination and bonus points for painting the inside of the grille area body color, rear antennae and poseable wheels. Nice job. Where did the hubcaps come from?

Well, the good news is I am getting a hobby room.

I've got a spreadsheet that figures in SS at 62, IRA and pension monthly amounts based on various ages. Yes, taking the lower pension and SS amounts at an earlier age will yield less overall if you live longer than 11 or so years past your retirement date. Last time I check no on is guanateeed to live to 65 or 70 or 75 and past tomorrow for that matter. I hope I can enjoy the fruits of 40 years labor for at least 15-24 years and if I watch my money and maybe work 2 days a week for a few years I should be fine. I just heard about a guy in his late 90's die with a $4M estate. He lived in the same house for 50 years and you can bet he could not bring himself to enjoy his money and a dirtbag couple embezzled over a $1M from him. They got caught and are looking at 50 years in jail time. -
No problem. I went to the York PA toy show yesterday and there was a vendor with a few hundred Corgi cars all mint and in the original boxes. Ca Ching

I don't think anyone would mind. I'll add that ther is no way in hades I would work to death and push myself to an age 8 years beyond being eligible to collect Soc Sec. My father and brother died in their late 50's.. I am 59 with no health issues like they had (cancer) so even though SS does not kick in until 62 I'm done at 60 or 61 at the latest. I've got too many models to build to be spending time working. Financially I wil be able to do it so why not. On the plus side my mom is 86 and is doing well but lives 1,000 miles away so I pray she stays that way for the foreseeable future. Oh - my hobby room is the living room couch with most of my models in a closet but I do have a nice display room with seven display case,, a bookcase and computer. -

Maybe not today. Liv was born in 1945. -
I was surprised it was not as bad as I expected aside from these major flaws. Of course the chassis is lame too but that goodness it is not as bad as the multi-piece ones. I guess I was just up for a challenge.

Been sidetracked with other projects and the weather is not painting friendly (no spray booth) so browsing EBay I bid a reasonable amount on this opened mint kit. I did not have this box so It's a nice one to add to the collection.

There is nil adjustment for ride height unless you do some major cutting up of the one piece chassis. Remember back in the day with 15 inch wheels you had a lot of fender clearance. -

I have several but they are pretty much the same - just curbside kits. I would pick whatever year and body style your prefer. This is the Testors one which is pretty1 nice. -
Fantastic build. I had a gold/black 69 GTS 440 auto on column with vinyl roof and bench seat about 40 years ago. I should have kept that car.

More changes to the front end - widening the opening under the grille and the back had 69 taillights so they have been replaced with ones form the 1/32 Mach1.

I am pretty sure these sold for a few dollars back in the sixties so I doubt it came in a cereal box. Collectors of these oldest diecasts are dying off so the market is weak. A mint example might go for good money ($75) and one in this condition is probably worth $25. 1/43 models were never really popular in the US and the brands available today (Spark, Bizarre, IXO , etc.) are much more accurate and available in many variations and are not something you give your kids to play with so they all tend to be in perfect condition.

I could not stand the front end so I did rough surgery to get some headlights close to wher they should be.

If I had a spare 70 front end I think I would graft it on. And we all complain about the Revell front ends ;-)

Picked this up on Ebay for $21. It's an interesting hard to find unbuilt kit that has would need some serious modification to make it into a decent replica of a Boss or Mach1. I am going to try and rework the nose a little but will not spend hours on a kit that has a place in model history but is just a sloppy attempt at even being close the MPC and AMT offerings in that era. The red one is a MPC built up I picked up somewhere along the way.
