  1. Box stock build of the Vending Machine Show Rod. The current version does not have the Coca Cola decals and with the help of fellow member, John White, who sent me set of the original decals so I could scan them and create the original artwork to be printed on my ALPS. It is a fragile kit but builds into a very nice replica of the iconic show rod that I was fortunate to see when I was about 8 years old.
  2. Ohhhh....ahhhhh.
  3. I would agree, I was a bit disappointed in the final product. I thought the concept was A+. It seems like it should have more of covering in the rear deck and definitely needs a roll bar.
  4. I think my critical thinking skills were born out of my natural skepticism about the world in general and science class...thank you Mr. Schulstad. Scientific skepticism is about testing beliefs for reliability, by subjecting them to systematic investigation using the scientific method, to discover empirical evidencefor them.
  5. Reminds me of a truck I worked on for the Make-A-Wish foundation. The young high school kid was diagnosed with terminal cancer. His wish was to see his 1953 F100 restored so that he could drive it. Our local F100 club went all in and had his truck completed in a month, working late night hours and weekends. It was a special project for sure. He took his drivers test in the truck and got his license. A short few months later he lost his battle with cancer and he took his final ride in his truck with his coffin in the back. Your truck looks exactly like his. Nice job.
  6. Far out man...nice builds.
  7. I watched Tony A2Z race at Road America a few years ago. He was making that Eagle fly and it sounded great through the woods of Wisconsin's fabled road coarse. If you get a chance look up the article on his Indy qualifications...he really got screwed at Indy by the establishment who really did not care for road racers at the time. Very nice model..I like it.
  8. Cute as a b.....oh never mind. Nice model.
  9. Nice kitty.
  10. Nice job...love the color combo on this nice clean build.
  11. I saw this one at Back to the 50's a few years ago. It was in the Chip Foose booth. It is gorgeous and so simple...the leather work was outstanding.
  12. I'm quite familiar with that King Cobra. I worked next to it for a couple of months.
  13. Yankee Doodle Dandy!
  14. I waited for 3 months, then I ran into them at the NNL North...I knew they were going to be there so I had my Paypal stuff along. I presented it to them...gave me some lame excuse about shipping address, blah blah, blah....then I just asked them to give me the parts from their display as I had already paid for them. I could tell they were not happy about that but such is life. I will not buy parts from them again unless it is at a show and I have parts in hand.
  15. Night Shift? oh....and nice detail and that HEMI.
  16. Originally painted Suede Green, the car was re-sprayed to Gable’s specifications. Its unique color is known as ‘Gable Grey’ and it was actually mixed by Roger Barlow and Clark Gable. Best in Class at Pebble Beach 2012 and well deserved...she's a real beauty Clark.
  17. Maybe it was next Friday.
  18. Nice job...I was turned onto 43rd scale years ago. The subject matter is endless.
  19. Real....but frankly, Harry, I don't give a darn.
  20. Your columns in SR were also a source of inspiration for my modeling endeavors. Thanks.
  21. Nice period custom.
  22. Received package from Elvin Gaither(mredjr). Good trader, good communication. Thanks , Elvin.
