Automotive (and other) toys from our childhood

Oh boy did you open the toy box. Having two older brothers lots of military stuff, and cowboy paraphernalia from fanner 50's to hop a long Cassidy bed clothes. Lots of Marx play sets, knights, Roy Rogers, cape Canaveral and construction. Along with the Tonka fire pumper you needed the Marx ladder truck. Don't forget the Smith Miller trucks, Great Mack replicas, loved the tow truck, Customizing must have been in my blood, used house paint to paint my brown Jewel T Tonka delivery van. -

Didn't get a picture but saw a metallic green Myers Manx dune buggy with large diameter wheels and spinner hub caps, a mix of 60's and ghetto ride greg -

I had the pleasure to speak to both Don and Carol a little at the Toledo Toy Show last weekend and I want to express my thanks and appreciation to both and to those who have orders placed they will be filled so patience is appreciated, She expressed her concern regarding the orders but assured that they will be completed. I inquired if there were interested parties and Don said he had a few. Both seemed more relaxed then when they were selling their wares at the show, They had just his mercury wagon and kits and that was it. Truly an asset to our hobby and once again greatly appreciated. greg -

Very nice concept, in reality the load would have the main and tail rotor removed, the height from ground to top of the rear rotor is fourteen feet, eight inches I recall a few years ago a UH falling off a trailer in California after hitting a bridge with the mast of the main rotor http://www.vvdailypress.com/article/20150220/NEWS/150229987 greg -

Multibrand Dealerships in 50s and 60s
GLMFAA1 replied to JRB53's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
No too many multi brand dealers, but I remember Lincoln/Mercury, Plymouth/Desoto dealerships and here is an interesting site listing Ohio dealerships that also had 60's muscle car connections. I think Spitzer had multiple dealerships with different brands but not under one roof. http://www.oneownercollectorcar.com/index.php/dealerships/235-ohio-dealers-knafel-pontiac-hopkins-chev greg -
