Very nice job, Watched the build, thanks for the insight, I can smell the hot asphalt as this rolls by, greg -
Hey guys - It's a cartoon, Artist license is permitted, I was going to suggest guitar string since it's wound and would give the spring appearance. Haven't watched 'Cars' lately to see if they did both sides and agree it gives balance, Usually sold in pairs at western auto back in the days so most used them front and rear passenger side He also needs the CP 100 sirens on the roof. greg

Lindberg 72197 1/32 900 pumper fire truck
GLMFAA1 replied to forthlin's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
First off It is not 1/32 scale, There are no dual wheels at the rear, This originally was a motorized kit. Here is a comparison of the AMT 1/25th, Aurora 1/32 and Lindberg bodies, As you can see the Lindberg (red body) is much smaller than the Aurora 1/32 kit from the 60's I would try to swap for someone near an Ollie's for the kit at 7.99 and go no higher for inaccurate kit greg -
Very nice model. I thought I was going to see the V8 modeled. Maybe some Corvette historian could fact or fiction this story. I have heard through the years that actual # 1 Corvette never made it out of the mold, They forgot to put the mold release and the body had to ground out of the mold. The first Corvette bodies were produced in Ashtabula, Ohio and this has been the story floating around Northeast Ohio since the 50's. Anyone care to add a few pennies to this. greg

As promised , here are pics of the interiors Shasta: The AIrstream: Also found out that 90% rubbing alcohol will remove the curtains from the glass and leave clear plastic. Windows must be removed to soak in alcohol greg

They have interiors and to get to them you have to unscrew the bottoms, Certain Airstreams have window curtains on the windows that block the inside. Question: Didn't Airstream use jealousy windows or was that an option? I will post a interior shot next week, Holy Toledo this weekend! greg
