  1. One I'm trying to replicate.
  2. Great job on this. I have an AMT Outcast kit I was going to convert to a Fire Truck.
  3. Thanks guys. It took a lot of patience to work those decals (and Future acrylic floor polish). Happy to have it finished.
  4. Yep, I'll just keep my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 ranch truck until it can't be fixed any more. Bought it used in 2002 for $5000. Just turned 82000 miles. No interest in a new one.
  5. All I'm saying is: If they would correct it, I think a lot of us would buy another. I already have an original unbuilt and a built one in my collection.
  6. All I'm saying is, they corrected the front end on the Ohio George '67 Malco Mustang gasser (original kit had an incorrect '65 front end on a '67 Mustang body, they put a proper '67 front end on the latest release), why not correct this kit. They should have the Jolly Roger Maverick funny car body mold somewhere, use that body. Decals should be a simple fix. they change them on most rereleases.
  7. MPC should use the body from their Jolly Roger Maverick funny car. It's the same body (I have both) from the MultiMaverick kit without the long hood scoop.
  8. Wish they would have deleted that hideous long hood scoop and corrected the decals.
  9. Here ya go. I believe it was called a transverse torsion bar system. Top pic from the H.A.M.B. article. Bottom pic from TBucketPlans.com.
  10. My JoHan S & M version in my stash is molded in a hideous green.
  11. A quick build (21 parts). Front windows were the only real problem. Changed the angled rear fins to one upright fin, because I felt it looked more functional. Comments and suggestions welcome.
  12. Added new wood grain decals (thanks Oldtrucker) to the tonneau cover and rear panel. Now It's done.
  13. Thank you. After doing the decal stripes, I agree that masking and spraying them might be better. I have one molded in red that masking the white stripes might be easier, maybe!
  14. Yep, some trimming, a lot of decal set and some touch up paint. Good luck on yours. Thanks.
  15. Had this on my shelf of doom for years, was about 3/4's done but never tried to do the red stripes. Got a set of full decals with stripes from R2 but was too concerned to try. Finally sat down and started decaling. Took a lot of Future to get most to lay down. The front of the roof/windshield was difficult, but the front end stripe was impossible. Finally gave up trying to get it to lay down, masked the front end off and spray painted it red. Not great but it is done. Comments and suggestions are welcomed.
  16. I tried the same conversion. It is beyond my skills. Been watching Feepay for an AMT Vega/Astre kammback FC but they are beyond my maximum. Will be watching.
  17. Yes Sir! That's it. Any decals you might be looking for in trade.?
  18. Really, thanks for the info. I will check it out.
  19. Bump, just need this decal piece.
  20. Have the Triumph, sold the Harley / BSA Grease set.
  21. Redid the taillight panel on my build again. Used red decals mounted above on the inner top of the chrome and they are reflected in the angled chrome below.
  22. Redid the taillights as per the pics. Mounted decals on the above chrome panel and they are reflected in the angled chrome as below.
  23. Had this kit in my stash for decades. Pulled it out and got her done. Added a 4bbl carb to the engine and used the optional exhaust pipe as I didn't care for the body side exhaust. Added parts to the interior to make it more accurate. Kit did not come with a tonneau cover, so I made one, (need a roof beam decal from the latest release AMT Deora kit to add to the cover). Corrected the rear taillight panel. Paint is Testors rattlecan Inca Gold lacquer. Future acrylic clear coat. Build tread in the WIP model truck section. Comments and suggestions welcome.
  24. Calling it done. New tread in under glass model trucks.
