I will grab one for the decals and will likely use the rest of the kit to practice some new painting ideas on. If I decide to build it I have plenty of tires to choose from to replace the plastic ones.

IIRC, that snow plow is just as crude as the chassis in the that truck. Have to applaud Revell, they got the setup in that GMC truck pretty dang close. Will be interesting to see the Moebius plow set up they have coming.

George is his US connection and seems to be able to restock fairly quickly, saves on shipping. I have dealt with George before on other kits/parts and he is a stand up guy, don't hesitate to order from him.

There are some grilles coming out to build up version for model years 83-91.

If you can find one of the snap fast Tahoe kits, it's pretty much a shoe in under this truck if you are looking to build a 4wd version.

John's truck was a GMC, based on a 77/78 model year. The current Revell 76 Chevy stepside with the grille from the plow truck would get you what you need if you are looking for accuracy.

Kris Morgan at MAD has a resin longbed kit that has a nice bench seat, he might offer it separately, worth asking.

I am surprised no one has offered it in resin or 3D printing....yet.

Walt's Bronco was a 92-96 Model Year, which hasn't been offered in plastic kit form.

A month after our last communication I sent another note asking if there was an update, we will see what is said.

Any updates on the 83-87 GM pickup grilles as mentioned earlier?

I continue to be amazed at the level of detail, accuracy and cleanliness of this build.

I wonder if Round2 is taking a page out of other manufacturer's playbook and concentrating on the body details, realizing most models are displayed with the hood closed? There are some excellent kits out there that lack full or even partial engine detail that seem to be well accepted by the modeling community, like the recent Tamiya Mustang kit.

Makes sense now. I remember a friend in high school ( 40 years ago!) was talking about a motor he was building and how it had a scattershield. Until you mentioned it I forgot all about it. I'm guessing you would consider using one on this type of car because it is considered a race car and it is a piece of safety equipment?

Not familiar with the term Steel Hydroformed-style bell housing, is it a special kind of bell housing? Aren't they all steel?

Wow. I am happy with a few add ons, have never considered full on custom stuff like you are, would be too worried about getting bogged down in the details and never finishing it. I already have a pile of WIPs that are 90% done and most of them are box stock.

So over the years I have lent model parts and kits to folks who develop resin parts and almost always get the parts returned promptly and usually with some extras for my generosity. Earlier this year I sent some stuff off and have yet to get it back, despite the person having used it to develop some parts with it. I get that we have things come up and life is hectic, but I think ignoring emails after saying it would be shipped soon is wrong.
