  6. I am pleased to see this thread still going, having started it 10yr ago! My family has made it through some VERY tough times since then, but we still remain. "Happiness is a choice that requires effort at times" Aeschylus, a Greek philosopher said this many years ago. That quote rings in my head daily. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God. Written by another philosopher named David. I do Hope you all have a great day.
  7. I need to get busy on this custom. I was stuck on paint color/scheme, but I think I may have decided. Most of the fab work is complete, now prep, prep, prep... I am still looking for glass if any are holding let me know.
  8. Thanks everyone, got few things to button up but it was a relaxing fun build...
  9. Welcome Carlo, I live in Ravenna, Ohio! I too am a Styrene-aholic, I find the hobby relaxing when done for the right reasons. What models are you building?
  10. Thanks, it was a touch and go for a minute but went pretty well, still have some tweaking to do before paint. I wanted to run the exhaust clear through but after installing the rear shocks there isn't any room. I think they will be ok like this...
  11. Some progress on the chassis, exhaust and driveshaft. Engine is mounted.

  16. Good thing you got check out. Rest and heal brother.
  17. Splash paints website has information if you open the color of choice there is a "Read More" button plus an entire FAQ section. You will need to use a lacquer-based primer such as Tamiya or Splash Paint Primer. This Plum Crazy base coat with 2x clear, my first attempt with their product.
  18. Took a minute last evening to try the Splash Paints. Very easy to work with, base coat went on smooth and the 2x clear looks wet. Forecast is pretty damp so the rest will have to wait.
  19. Hey Carl, hang in there. Prayers for you and yours.
  20. That is very clean well-built model, I like it!
