  1. Great looking build. You did really well on the molded-in wiring in the engine bay. That always holds me up. Nice looking paint job and trim also. Jeff
  2. I know, I don't know if I am amazed or repulsed. I keep coming back to this thing and I'm just speechless. I find it fascinating and grotesque in the same breath. The craftsmanship looks good and the paint looks right, but I don't like the green windscreen and the rearward rake. The blown motor looks great, but not with the 59 rearend and (I guess) model A type grill. I.....I...... just don't know what to think. AAARRRGGGUUUUEEE! (walks away shaking head). Jeff
  3. Not sure if this belongs here or in the weird car thread, but I came across this thread first . Saw this yesterday while shopping. Kinda cool, mabey they should have done a factory job for the mini pickup crowd. Jeff
  4. Wow that looks cool. The stance is just perfect. Jeff
  5. Nice Blazer. I like em high, but yours turned out great. Nice paintwork. Jeff
  6. Just picked mine up at Hobby Lobby. Can't wait. Just need to finish my Blazer project first, then, like Sam, need to do all my research on the subject. Need lots of pics. I'm stoked! Jeff
  7. Thanks for sharing the photos. As a HUGE fan of the show and a modeler, you're right, I'll be able to work around it. But I agree, molded in white would have been much better. Probably the next release will be molded in white, unless it's a fire chief's car or another Coke release, lol. Yea, I did think it looked like an MPC kit, now that you mentioned it. I wish the underside of the trunk would have been scribbled better so I can cut it open easier. Oh well, I'm just super glad it's hear at all. Been waiting a long time for this model kit. Jeff
  8. That's pretty cool. Like the cowl induction, or is it the original air grabber scoop. Pretty neat to watch. Thanks for sharing. Jeff
  9. Not sure about changing tires, but that front tire looks pretty close to the fender. What kind of turning radius does that thing have.? Jeff
  10. Hmmm, I'll have to dig my Hammerhead model out that I built in college. I swear it has a Chevy grill on it and I built the kit box stock, except for the decals. I think I even left it in bare plastic as it was molded in blue metallic plastic. I'll dig around for it and post pics if I find it. Jeff
  11. I'm in. I'm planning on doing the trunk, it's an integral part of the show. I've been saving up all the weapons from some of the gangster series of kits when I come across them at shows. Gotta have the Winchester's arsenal. Now, where am I gonna find a vial of holy oil. Hmmmm....... Jeff
  12. Thank you for bringing the topic back, even if you need to delete some of the comments that were throwing it off track. Jeff
  13. That turned out really nice. I was following your build thread and wasn't sure how it was going to look, but I think it finished great. Reminds me of a guy who used to bring a trailer full of working engines to the NSRA streetrod show in York, PA every year. Think his name was Al's Toybox or something like that. He had running engines he would fire up to advertise his engine building business. Mabey you could do the same, lol. Show up at model shows and sell your wares. I know a lot of people would want to buy your nice work. Great job on the trailer, keep em coming. Jeff
  14. Thanks for the info. They look pretty good, I'll have to look them up. Jeff
  15. I'm in for at least 2. But mine's going to be Dean's baby, in all it's glory. Guess I'm gonna have to open the trunk though. It's a main part of the show. Jeff
  16. That came out very nice. My cousin is retired from the Florida game commission and he used Ramchargers for many years. He always had some great stories about them. Tough trucks they were. Thanks for sharing yours. Jeff
  17. Great looking Jeep. What wheels and tires are those? They fit well and look good. The v-6 can be found in the Jeep Commando kit. PM me if you want to add one. That's a really nice tribute to your father. Jeff
  18. R.I.P. Jerry. A great comedian and actor. Gave us all a new holiday, a new support garment for portly, elderly men, and many other laughs along the way. He will be missed. I wonder if he said to his physician, "Million to one shot, doc, million to one!" Jeff
  19. Good looking truck. Yes, can we see some more pics? Love those tires. Jeff
  20. Great looking truck Cruz. Stance looks just right. The tool box looks great too. Jeff
  21. Can't wait for the Supernatural Impala, course all my LGS's are still closed. I would rather buy local, then order online, but this might change it if the govt. doesn't open up the state soon. I'm a super fan of Supernatural and have been waaaaaiiiiiiittttiiinnnggg for a 4 door 67 Impala to be made. I might also pick up the Ranchero for the Coke bonus parts. Some cool kits this month. Jeff
  22. There's something disturbing about the subject matter, but I like it, in a macabre sort of way I guess. Nice modeling . The figures look really good. Jeff
  23. Yeah, I knew the differences in scale, I wasn't sure how big the engine bay is in the Luv. I know it would look smaller, maybe add a turbo setup to fill some of the empty space, lol. I just thought it would be an alternative for someone building one. I may have to get one and put one of my resin Cummins engines in my stash in it just to roll some coal, lol. Maybe cut it down to a BT-4 4 cylinder. Jeff
  24. Welcome to the forum. Beautiful Land Rover. As others have said, really nice weathering. I love the look of the spare on the roof. It just looks like its been up there for awhile . Great looking engine detail too. Hope to see more of your work here in the future. Jeff
  25. Would the v-6 from the Jeep Commando work? It is, after all, a Buick engine before they sold it, then bought it back again. I think that would look good in the Chevy Luv. Jeff
