I saw in another thread that Ertl kept the tractor and wagon molds, I wasn't sure if the backhoe was included or not. Thanks for the info. Jeff

Wow, that came out nice! Is that one of the older Monogram kits thats unobtainioum? I hope I can find one that's affordable some day. I picked up one of the new ones to build, but I always wanted one of the smaller ones too. Great job on yours. I like the custom soft top for it. Tires and wheels look good too. Good job. Jeff

Funny story, well maybe strange, even heartbreaking, this car was burned to the ground. I use to belong to the Miniature Railroad Club of York, PA, which is right beside the former garage of Dave Strickler, owner and driver of the Old Reliable cars. Some of the old rr club members recounted the story of one night, the gang hanging out in Strickler's garage, in a drunken fit, rolled the car across the street to a vacant lot, poured gas on it, and lit it up. Apparently, the car was sitting in the driveway of the garage unused and for sale. With no buyers, after awhile, they got tired of looking at it. At least that's the story I was told many years ago. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH shame. Jeff

It looks like its mounted to the spare tire bumper stop. My old '92 YJ had a spare tire bumper stop mounted just like that on the corner. When you swung the tailgate open, the spare tire would rest against that. Jeff

I've found out over the years, the best way to launch a part into the stratosphere is to try to GENTLY grasp it in a pair of needle nose tweezers to paint it. Works every time. Jeff

Great looking build. The weathering on it looks spot on. Nice to see one that isn't shiny. I like how the exhaust comes out of the end of the running boards. On a side note, the pic of the 1:1 truck, I have the same tires on my Jeep, coooool!? Jeff

Great to see this coming out. Hope I can cut the hard top and doors off the snap kit and graft them onto the stock kit to make my 1/1 daily driver. Didn't want to use the earlier Rubicon kit because of the wheel flares, rear end treatment and the non stock roll bar. I'll buy several for projects. Jeff

Thanks for the great side shots. I'm glad the wheels look better than the goofy ones on the diecast. Can't wait for this one to hit the shelves. I'll buy two or three. Just wish the trunk opened up. It's such an important part of the show. Jeff

Get rid of the hornet's nest and you could get 3 or 4 more builds in there lol ( just kidding, that's actually pretty cool, wish I had one too). I have an old display case that came out of our family's print shop when we closed the doors years ago. I just can't get to it right now because I have soooooo many new kits stacked in front of it ( not kidding ). I really need to stop buying and get to building more, there's just too much neat stuff being released now. Jeff

Great, another Jeep kit to add to the list (and after seeing the Italeri new release thread). I'm kidding, I can't wait for the stock version. I must have about a dozen of the modified kits and snap kits. I need a stock one to model my daily driver. The modified one has too many modifications to model my Jeep.
