Oregon. But, a couple of weeks ago I got some mail in my box for the house across the street. They just moved in so it was a good excuse to meet them. Told them to get used to this sort of thing.

Every time you mention "Highway Star" the song comes to me from the past.....which is a good thing.

We have the Pacific Newt here in Oregon which is brown in color. Had them as pets when I was a kid and was very successful keeping them alive for years. Used to have them around our yard the last 20 years but slowly disappeared as many critters have. Sad.

Good looking model and nice pictures. I built this awhile back and remember it was an enjoyable build. Tamiya kits usually are.

A lot of work but you did a great job. Funny thing for me as I've gotten older I don't care for decals as much as before. I've got quite a few models waiting for me to apply decals right now. Not a good situation when I mostly build race cars!

That's a busy paint scheme and you captured it perfectly along with the decals. A very cool looking model!

On my daily dog walk I've wore shorts and a t-shirt, pants and t-shirt and today a jacket because there's been a constant beach mist. The temps are supposed to start rising and this weekend will be upper 80's and lower 90's. Goofy.

Oh yeah. With all the drinking and the little birds splashing about I have to refill it every day or twice a day. There is a plant in the pot so it benefits with the water splashing into the dirt.

There's a potted plant by our patio that collected water over the winter months and I noticed the birds and squirrels would drink from it so I put a shallow bowl in there and keep it filled. Now it's used constantly and the little birds are taking baths in it also.

Great looking model! Sometimes the research done on an old race car can take as long as building the model itself. You created a convincing replica.

I got these from a guy who knew a guy who lived down the street from Adam Sandler. Seriously, it took some work to find these and I don't know if it's ok to name the guy. I do know there is a website now that has lots of 3d racers and these are included.

I was out feeding the squirrels and noticed one of the young ones has a bit of nylon netting around his neck and front leg. Getting around just fine but wonder as he gets older how tight it might get. Can already see a crease around the neck so...... First thing I thought of was how can I catch it and clip the net which would be impossible. Also noticed a squirrel hopping like a rabbit since his rear legs seem a bit unstable. Hate seeing these things but the wife reminds me they can't all live forever. Sad as I've got to know different ones with different personalities and how they approach me and aren't afraid when I'm working in the yard. Still have the large mouse/small rat critter hanging out with the squirrels during feeding time and randomly running around. Have a small bird with a damaged wing hanging around the last 2 weeks. He can fly a small distance horizontally but can't get any height so he's here to stay. He gets food from the seeds I feed the squirrels so he stays alive but for how long?
