I found the garage display cases at Amazon. There's different sizes and a few different types.

Whenever I hear of people in situations mentioned above I can't imagine how you/they deal with it. I'd be so stressed and I'm very thankful it never happened to me. My thoughts are with anyone having to go through this and hope some compensation comes your way sooner rather than later. No excuse for airlines that have been in business all these years to fail like this.

I'm not a horror movie fan but remember watching this a few years ago for the first time only because I'm a huge Jack Nicholson fan. It reminded me why I'm not a horror movie fan because they all seem to drag on for hours thinking you're trembling in your seat when I just become bored. Still the worst horror movie for me is The Exorcist. Just plain stupid yet people go on and on about it. Those people are fans of this type of movie so I'm happy for them but glad to read the above comments knowing I'm not totally by myself with my thoughts.

I like what you've done with the diecast. TV coverage can be tough to find each year. Once I find it, I set the DVR and it seems to be pretty consistent on recording times.

I ran over there this morning to get a couple of Testors paint pens but they didn't have any. Saw a brand I never heard of and some Gundam ones that were $10. No to both of them. Surprised to see the model shelves were fairly well stocked but they were the same models I've seen for the last couple of years.

That's a sharp looking funny car!

Opened a brand new Testors marker pen still in the package and it was bone dry. Had it for a while but wouldn't think it would dry up sealed in the package.

Those are great! Always nice to look at modeling talent beyond car models.

A very pretty cat.

Another good point. I guess we'll just wait and the different model liveries will satisfy us all.

My package finally arrived yesterday from Model Roundup so I'm pleased about that. Took 2 weeks. There was some irk involved though. Freezing rain iced up the lock box at the mail cluster box so the key wouldn't turn to open it. It's down the street a bit form my house so I trekked back and grabbed a little warm water to loosen the lock. Took a couple of tries but finally got my package! This has been quite a frustrating experience.

Good point. They're coming up with some great subjects so I hope the money is coming in to make more runs of these kits.
-
Somehow I was lucky and got one of these. I'm no business genius but don't you want to make as many of these kits as possible to sell? If they sold out in a matter of hours I'd think you'd be scrambling to get more out there.

Kids artwork is the best. I enjoy their attempt to put what they see on paper. I'm sure you'll save this forever.

I've built this kit so I know what you were up against but the finished model looks great to me. Nice job! Don't beat yourself up.

I had never heard of Dmodel kits before. Box art reminds me of a Tamiya kit. Does it come with driver figures?

So you're telling me there's still a chance I'll get my package....... maybe before Christmas? I'm pleased that you're pleased. Good to know someone out there still knows how to do their job right.

Still being irked by USPS. An update on the tracking yesterday said it left the facility in Seattle at 7:30 pm Monday and I'd get it Tuesday by 9pm. I knew that wouldn't happen. Leave Seattle and I assume arrive at the Portland facility and go to my local post office and then my house in 24 hours?! Don't think so. Sure enough. Today it says "Moving through network". Yeah, that's clear as mud. Geez they suck! Remember this was shipped from Model Roundup on December 8th.

A very good looking model!

Hmmmm Never heard about this but thanks for the interesting story.

Can't remember the last time I heard the word "potentiometer". Takes me back to electronic stuff when I was younger. Y'know, capacitors and transistors and resistors.....

Thanks for the nice comments. The similar experiences from others makes me feel a little better that it wasn't just me failing on the build. I noticed my pictures show the ill fitting hood even though I worked on it trying to get it to fit right. I swear it fit better than the picture shows. Maybe I didn't shove it down well enough.

That's what I remember watching as a kid. The characters were always smoking and drinking. LOL
