  1. My mom was in a facility 200 miles from me but my sister lived close so would visit her every week or two mostly to visit with the care people too because she knew them. My mom didn't recognize my sister most of the time and she would never remember she came to see her anyway. I didn't go see her because I wanted to remember the last time I saw her when she knew who I was. That was important to me as I witnessed a good friend who came back after visiting his mom and she had no idea who he was. He was devastated.
  2. Give me the California Flash. I think I was in high school when that came out and was into other things at that time but want it now.
  3. I remember that race well and you did a very good job on the model. The watermelon......LOL.
  4. Wow, that looks great!
  5. So weird looking with that long nose but a great looking model! A very clean, sharp build.
  6. Very cool looking. Like the stance!
  7. We had the Covid excuse for the last couple of years and now this. I laugh when I hear this message because every single place you call has this excuse. Apparently it really isn't that unusual, is it?
  8. Great looking model and great decal application. Looks like it would've been tedious work.
  9. One of my favorite monsters and you did a great job.
  10. This model looks great! Top, bottom, engine.....all of it.
  11. Great looking figure and diorama!
  12. Looks real good. Nice paint and decal application.
  13. Always liked the Circuit City paint scheme and your model captured it well. Looks great.
  14. Hate this for you. Our Westies have had a thing called collapsed trachea. Not as bad as it sounds but could flare up for no reason and last for a day or two and we'd have to give them some kind of pill that would relax it. Horrible sounding hack/cough when it happens. Your dog looks like he's resting comfortably in this picture. Hope things improve for everyone as dogs can be quite resilient.
  15. I agree with all of the above.
  16. Well, aside from the possible controversy, a very well done figure.
  17. Looks real good!
  18. Thanks for the tip. I usually keep a close eye out for any mischief but they can be sneaky. We have 2 small rescues and the training has gone well. Funny thing, the wife bought some spray to deter the dogs from peeing in the house and right after we got it they started going to the door to be let out. Guessing this spray you suggested would lead to the same thing.
  19. I still remember a mechanic telling me many years ago that our cars are built so well that the mechanical parts aren't a problem anymore, it's the electrical stuff that goes south. It makes the car run pretty much carefree until it doesn't and then.....
  20. Funny thing about the cluttered bench is that I keep the rest of the house clean and tidy.
  21. Glad your wife is ok. Gotta be shaken after an event like this and I always feel bad when an innocent person has to go through this because of some idiot. As you point out, the loss of a car that you really like and all the hassle you now have to go through.
  22. That body looks pretty nice and shiny just the way it is. Maybe no paint could work out well.
  23. Caught my little rescue dog chewing on the lamp cord. Didn't get to the wire so should be pleased about that. Only had him a couple of months and caught him chewing on my shoe laces or slippers if left lying around. Plenty of chew toys to use, which he does but apparently that's not enough. Still he's done a pretty good job of learning the rules around the house so progress is being made.
  24. Ah, the original Yes guitarist. I listened to about half of this and enjoyed it. Some Steve Howe sounding once in awhile and I like a few of the musicians he got to play with him.
