  1. If Testor Orange is too orange for you, try their Hugger Orange, which is a hair redder, but nowhere near as red as Chevy Engine Red/Orange.
  2. Very nice! Well done and model on!

Very nice! These look so good in gold, don't they? Well done and model on!
  4. Thanks guys for reminding me--I'll need to add a '67 Corvette and a '65 Chevelle to my list. And also a 1G Nova, gasser or AWB style.
  5. I'm currently attempting to wrestle the old Monogram '66 Chevelle to the ground. It beat me in the '70s, the '80s, the '90s...maybe this time around I'll win.
  6. The execution here has some glitches, but I think the overall concept actually has potential. Sort of a modern Ranchero.
  7. Those decals look very savable. Bleach the yellow out by putting them in a window for a few days, then coat them with Micro Super Film. I've used (on model airplanes) MUCH worse looking decals, with success. Congrats on a great score, BTW.
  8. Limited to something I've actually built? Hmmmm, I'd have to go back and look at them all. Meanwhile, I have one started that would be The One: a '65-'66 Mustang 2+2 that would be a blend of features from the '65 GT350R, the '66 GT350, and the '69 Bullittmobile. Basically, the perfect Mustang, with a modern drivetrain. And I'd actually DRIVE it. Daily. And it would be followed by a '68 Camaro RS in Corvette Bronze, a '67 El Camino in Marina Blue, and a '66 Nova in blue--all of which I plan to model, but haven't yet. (Haven't even started them.)
  9. You can also swab it on with a brand new CLEAN Q-tip and throw that in the trash after, and never have to worry about is there some old paint residue in the brush that will find its way onto the decal. I've also put it on with just my finger.
  10. Outstanding! Where did you get the '66 Comet--old original or resin? Either way, well done and model on!
  11. Very nice! You're getting pretty good at this. Well done and model on!
  12. Next time try "What are you wearing?"
  13. You can work with that! Drive on and maketh it something cool!
  14. Magnificent! VERY well done and model on!
  15. Pretty cool. See, there's plenty of fun modeling to be done beyond Cobras!
  16. I stuck a nice old tie in the washing machine a while back. What came out was a clean, lovely piece of cloth. Apparently the thing had been glued together, not stitched.
  17. Even better!
  18. I don't mind the CC branding as long as it doesn't cost me any more. I bought two of the recent CC branded '32 Ford SDs and will build them without any CC junk on them. The decal sheets in them are NICE, though, if you're a CC fan (which I'm not), and sooner or later I'll find someone who'll want to trade me something cool for one of them.
  19. I've discovered that the phrase "painful rectal itch" (hat tip to Saturday Night Live) can bring almost any conversation to a quick and merciful end.
  20. Don't give them ideas!
  21. Nice! I bet Street Outlaw Monza would like to have this for a daily driver!
  22. The swoopy stripe is an interesting take on the Eliminator graphic. I wonder why Mercury never thought of that?
