  1. Oh yeah--worth watching just for the girl alone. I've never been able to find out why they have to bring the pythons in alive, when the state's just gonna kill them on the spot. Seems like it would be a lot easier to eradicate them if you could just shoot them in the head with a .22. (Hey, it works for alligators!)
  2. There were two different shows. I think one was on History and the other on Discovery. The History one featured the Swamp People gang in the alligator off-season.
  3. HAHAHAHAHAHA! I just saw that episode a couple weeks ago!
  4. What a generous offer! IF and WHEN I manage to grab one or two of these, I'll probably take you up on that! Thanks!
  5. If one wanted to build a single-rollbar Dragmaster frame, which bar should be removed, the front or the back?
  6. I'm wondering if I could cut out one spoke at a time and replace it with a piece of plastic rod, properly oriented to "front" and "back" sides. That would look better....
  7. Dave, that's one of the nicest chassis weathering jobs I've ever seen! Respect! Now, don't forget to weather your tire treads to match.
  8. Talk about "First World Problems!" But I quit drinking in 1984 so this is one problem I'm never gonna have, Thank The Lord.
  9. I'd tell them to let me know when they'd gotten all of their offices and state government offices thermostats set to 80*.
  10. Are the front wheels legit on that thing? I just spent some time on the George Klass site looking at a buttload of early diggers and didn't see anything like these. #1 wheels were cycles, with #2 and #3 going to various open wheels and Romeo Palimides 12-spokes, #4 Halibrands. These have 12 spokes but are very different from the RP wheels, which have six spokes on the front and six on the back. These have all 12 spokes going right to the center. They just won't "pass" as RP wheels to my eye. And I don't have any extra cycle wheels to put on it. GRRRRRRR!
  11. I've given some thought to doing the Rally Green '69 Camaro from Bewitched. https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_230250-Chevrolet-Camaro-1969.html Would love to do Hyde's '67 El Camino from That '70s Show, but if I'm gonna go to all the trouble to do a '67 Elky conversion, it's gonna be painted Marina Blue. https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_69142-Chevrolet-El-Camino-1967.html
  12. You have my email and know what I like. Drop me an email with a list of anything you think might interest me and we'll talk, old friend.
  13. Now I want that 49er dragster! Not a fan of the body/cockpit but shouldn't be too much trouble to drop a spare Double Dragster Fiat body on it and turn it into a Comp Coupe.
  14. Saw Rogue One, the Star Wars prequel, on TNT on-demand streaming (free with my cable). Overall, not bad at all. The plot and characters can get a bit hard to follow at times but the CGI effects and some of the action are pretty good. It all comes together in the last 10 or 15 minutes, when it become apparent that these events are leading up directly to the original Star Wars movie. Pretty cool seeing some old, familiar and beloved (or hated) faces/characters. All things considered, I liked it.
  15. Yah, but I'm constantly amazed at the number of modelers who don't clean up seams, even on bodies. Cleaning off mold lines is Modeling 101--especially the ones that are gonna show on the shelf.
  16. AFAIK the '68 RR has never been issued as a pro street. The '69 GTX first appeared as a stock convertible, with a separate kit as a HT Pro Street. If you wanted a stock HT, you had to buy both and kitbash them. They eventually issued a stock GTX HT. I'm not sure exactly what the specific kit you're talking about is.
  17. I'd much rather have flash than short-shots or warped parts.
  18. Very sharp, very clean build! Model on!
  19. Here's my newest toy: Springfield Armory Mil-Spec 1911A1 CO2/BB airgun! The thing looks and feels so "real" it's amazing and is an absolute HOOT to shoot! The slide actually recoils with every shot. I can shoot it in the basement for about 1c a shot--way better than the cost of real ammo these days. (This was the item I was talking about being so glad finally finding in the What Pleased You Today thread.) Here it is with three of my real 1911s. The new airgun is at top right. The gun at bottom right has a .22 conversion top half on it. I've had thousands of rounds of fun with that one, too, back when .22 ammo was @ 2c a shot at Walmart. Now that it's north of 5c a shot if you can find any at all, I think the new airgun will be getting a workout from me.
  20. I've never seen that. Now it's on my Gotta Have It list! Thanks for posting it!
  21. That's kinda cool! Put me down for one.
  22. Very cool, what a great "period piece." Well done and model on!
  23. Yah, got it--just haven't had a chance to give it a good reply yet LOL. I haven't forgotten ya.
  24. Okay, I've looked again at the second blue photo. Look at the 863 C/SP ahead of the rear wheels. That's definitely black. Now compare that to the Vern Smith and Tuned by Bill Jenkins. They're definitely lighter and I'm saying they're blue. Comparing The "Old Reliable" to the 863 and the Vern Smith, I'd say that's black--BUT the JR looks like the blue. The hood's a baffler. If you just look at the HP on the near side, that looks black. But the 290 could be blue. And on the far side, the 290 could be black and the HP could be blue. Or not....
