I have H-1262 Dodge Dart 440 4 DR, H-1261 Plymouth Fury and Dodge Lancer H-1253. The fit of the glass is a little sloppy. The glass from the Johan '62 kits fits the Revell Fury/Dartbodies requiring only a minor reshaping of the upper windshield frames of the Revell kits for a perfect fit. I vacuformed the Johan glass for use with the Revell kits. Since I plan on using the chassis, suspension and engine compartment parts from Lindberg '64 Mopars (I'm not crazy about the Johan/Revell chassis), tires aren't a problem. As a matter of fact, the Revell stock hub caps, and wheel backs with the axle stub removed, fit the B.F. Goodrich tires with the separate whitewalls found in AMT kits. I'll contact Peter Vetri to see if he'd like to borrow the Fury/Dart/Lancer glass to possibly make a tooling.

Revell obtained many Renwal toolings which were later reissued in the Renwal Blueprint Models series. Perhaps the Renwal Revivals tooling was part of the haul when Peter Vetri bought all of that tooling after The Hobbico bankruptcy sale.

I'm having a hard time seeing that myself. Is there any solid evidence to corroborate this? The real wagons were built on different platforms ( X-Body for the Nova and Y-Body for the Buick Special) and possess zero body parts interchangeability for either the 1962 0r 1963 model years. The AMT '62 Buick Special body would have had to undergo a such major radical retooling that a newly tooled 1963 body would have been more feasible from a production and economics standpoint.

I'll vouch for the quality of Doug's work. This engine is a gem.

I don't believe there are any clear parts in the kit which require cementing together in a horizontal manner; so, any visible joint area will be negligible. Most. if not all, joint areas will be perpendicular to each other. Brush the mating surfaces with the methylene chloride. Clamp or hold the two parts tightly together and carefully apple the solvent along the joint. Capillary action will draw the solvent into the joint. Whatever crazing there is will be limited to the immediate area of the bonded joint. This can be polished out and make it nearly invisible.

Use methylene chloride, which is used as a a solvent cement to bond plexiglass when constructing clear display cases. Weld-On 3 is available in hardware stores and real arts & craft supply stores.

Years ago, my friend, Mikey Yugo, repainted his 1:1 '68 Falcon using a paint roller. The result was really bad. He blamed the company that made the paint roller.
