Given the limited number of emoticons presently available, using them in any combination to ask a question would not be possible. Braille might be an acceptable option, though.

"They" complain that the kids spend too much time indoors playing silly video games or on their phones posting in social media sites about their latest gaming gear hauls. "They" want their kids to be just like dear old, Pillsbury Doughboy-like Dad and spend too much time indoors building silly models and on their phones posting in social media sites about their latest model-related hauls. Same c_rap, different generation. Rinse. Repeat. A lot of guys seem to have forgotten the eternal mantra of teens from the first time they stood upright, courtesy of Joey Ramone: I just wanna have some kicks I just wanna get some chicks When I was a kid, we used to goof on the nerds by positing this scenario: You're put in a room with a naked and really foxy chick and a big rock on the floor. Would you: A. try to get laid or: B. pick up the rock and throw it at the naked and really foxy chick I'm getting the vibe that Choice B wins.

I'm having a hard time seeing that myself. Is there any solid evidence to corroborate this? The real wagons were built on different platforms ( X-Body for the Nova and Y-Body for the Buick Special) and possess zero body parts interchangeability for either the 1962 0r 1963 model years. The AMT '62 Buick Special body would have had to undergo a such major radical retooling that a newly tooled 1963 body would have been more feasible from a production and economics standpoint.

All one needs to do is hold the left mouse button and drag along the desired text, release the mouse button when the desired portion of text is highlighted and a "Quote selection" box appears under the highlighted text. Click the box and the highlighted text will appear as a quote in your response. That's how I quoted you without the other part of your comment. It doesn't get easier than that. This is accomplished without the ridiculous copying of extraneous items like photos and other unnecessary text.

It's more like lazy. Emoticons encourage laziness. Besides, if someone can't be bothered to reply with words, why even bother using emoticons? That's at least .002 seconds that they could have used doing something vastly more important.

Must be considering the large number of replies which contain every stinkin' photo found in the original quoted post. Then, there will be others immediately following doing the same thing.

I'll vouch for the quality of Doug's work. This engine is a gem. -
I don't believe there are any clear parts in the kit which require cementing together in a horizontal manner; so, any visible joint area will be negligible. Most. if not all, joint areas will be perpendicular to each other. Brush the mating surfaces with the methylene chloride. Clamp or hold the two parts tightly together and carefully apple the solvent along the joint. Capillary action will draw the solvent into the joint. Whatever crazing there is will be limited to the immediate area of the bonded joint. This can be polished out and make it nearly invisible.

Use methylene chloride, which is used as a a solvent cement to bond plexiglass when constructing clear display cases. Weld-On 3 is available in hardware stores and real arts & craft supply stores.

Model Prices vs. Inflation
SfanGoch replied to Lunajammer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's one of the wonders of Noo Yawk, just like checking a pay phone handset before putting it to your ear. Actually, the oldtimers would ask somebody they knew in the immediate area to watch the cart and use the facilities in a nearby business. If their wasn't anyone around, they'd leave the cart unattended for a few minutes. Can't do that now. If a city Health Department team happens to be around making inspections and see that it's unattended, they pull the permit off the cart and issue a ten day suspension because they'll deem it an "imminent health hazard" the moment the carts are abandoned because the food could be contaminated. So, the guys literally hold it until the finish their day. -
I only posted info, Carl. I didn't get any of them.
