  1. If you actually read the threads, you wouldn't be asking this question. It's been pointed out to stay away from the U.S.-based company because of all of the problems customers encountered and deal only with the original Spain-based business. If you don't have the patience to wait a bit for an order you'll definitely receive, by all means go with the non-affiliated U.S. outfit and listen to an endless stream of excuses as to why you haven't got your paints.
  2. Comments about this are seriously misdirected. The sanity of the person who actually would pay that amount should be called into question, not that of the seller.
  3. Newer molding of the Electra? It's the same mold used since S522 was released almost 60 years ago.
  4. Check its Facebook page, like I did, and you can read the vague non-answers to that very question. I posted their response in a thread specifically about this.
  5. Comet TV runs Godzillathons regularly, too.
  6. It was explained in the original 1954 film "Gojira".
  7. They don't make them like that anymore, Chris. Those golden turds command the big bucks on reputable auction sites like Zeppy.io.
  8. I sent a message to the seller a couple of days ago pointing out that it's not a Modelhaus resin model, just a Johan USA Oldies plastic kit. Nuthin' but crickets from his end.
  9. Police departments normally purchased the cheapest models. 150 2-Door sedan would have been used since they were manufactured as fleet oriented. The NYPD used Chevrolet as an RMP (Radio Motor Patrol vehicle) for only one model year during the 1950s. That was the 1956 Chevrolet 150.
  10. Allegedly, Winston Churchill said, "Americans and British are one people separated by a common language." in a speech to Congress in the early 1940s. I have a few of the new tool AMT '57 Belairs but don't have the Revell sedan. Any preference as to either?
  11. Since one can "drag n' drop" or load images directly from one's computer into a post here, why would one really need to use a photo hosting site to store images? If you're concerned about hard drive failures leading to data loss, back up files on thumbnail drives and even archiving them on CD/DVD. They are essentially hard copies which aren't susceptible to loss due to hardware failure or problems with hosting sites. You want to load images, no problem. Load the appropriate disk or thumb drive and copy 'n' paste or drag 'n' drop into your post. It might seem like a dated method; but, I never worry about any of my important files and documents turning into lost electrons.
  12. Try Imgur. It's free.
  13. Nice JT! Those 1/16 Trumpeter kits can be super detailed beyond what is in the box. Excellent resource site for the Trumpeter KT and others HERE.
  14. Wow! That's taking casting to another level. man! What did you use for the molds?
  15. Interesting factoid: If you make a close inspection/measurement of just about any portion of a model car (things like drip rails, trim, etc.), you'll find that there are size equivalents found in styrene strip and metal and/or plastic tubing. This is also the case for other types of models. So, finding the appropriate size isn't difficult.
  16. Testors 5301 Instructions at Drastic Plastic.
  17. The model in the OP isn't even a Modelhaus repop. The guy selling it is trying to palm off a Johan kit as a Modelhaus resin. Check out the stamping on the chassis: Here are more photos from Pickclick. The engine is missing parts.
  18. Yeah, they did, it's the same. If they didn't, how does one explain that the parts in the Modelhaus resin kit are identical to the Johan kit? Johan USA Oldies release Modelhaus
  19. "Modelhaus" in an ad is like having a blank check to some sellers. They expect the name to add credibility to whatever amount they feel like selling the item, no questions asked.
  20. For any future builds, I recommend Model Car Garage's Corvette Grand Sport Detail Set.
  21. interesting. However, slicing thin rings from aluminum tubing of the appropriate diameter would be easier and would create identical, uniform sized rings without seams to clean up. The only thing to be done would be to polish the rings on abrasive paper or on a sharpening steel to obtain the correct thickness.
  22. That's the $64,000 question. Too much work involved in order to build something that is already available.
