Golden High Flow acrylics?????
SfanGoch replied to retired & glad's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
From the Golden Paints website: Automotive: HFAs can be used for custom automotive painting with proper surface preparation and top-coating. The underlying paint layers and topcoat should be intended for automotive applications. The surface should be clean of finger oils and dust, and scuffed sufficiently to allow for proper adhesion. The acrylic paint layers do not need additional sanding in order for the topcoat to adhere. However, allow enough time for the water, retarders and other additives to leave the film prior to clear-coating. -
I like the way you think.

Hey Pete............. BTW, I'm of that "certain age" and remember when the show premiered in 1969. I can't answer for your lack of humor.

Well, it's not how long one lived, it's what one accomplished during the time available. Grumpy sure accomplished a lot.

You knew it was coming........... Grumpy Cat, Internet Celebrity With a Piercing Look of Contempt, Is Dead at 7 We'll miss ya, kid. You were a role model for angry felines everywhere. I know this makes four; however, I'd leave Peggy Lipton off that list. Clarence Williams III clearly was the more accomplished thespian who single-handedly carried the "Mod Squad". Julie Barnes was mere hippy eye candy in comparison.

That's the only difference. I had an Apple Krate and Pea Picker when I was a kid. My son has two Grey Ghosts.

A little bit of paint and Bondo and nobody will notice.

Thanks, Andy.

I was wondering what the kit prices were.
-
The Edsel, Caddy and Star Chief kits are 30 bucks?!?
-
Some nice stuff there. Is there a price list? I didn't see one.

Using methylene chloride to strip paint from models is a big no-no. It's also known as acrylic solvent/cement. You'll end up with a melted blob suitable only for abstract art exhibitions.
-
Try methylene chloride if you really want to clean the brush thoroughly. It dissolves everything (enamels, acrylics, lacquers, urethanes) from the bristles. I also use it to clean my Olympos HP-101 and Aztek airbrushes. I just drop the Aztek nozzles in a small glass jar filled with methylene chloride for about ten minutes and the residue blows out.

Chinese tariff war and models
SfanGoch replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Why?!? If something is manufactured here in the U.S., there wouldn't be any tariff imposed because it's domestically produced. -
Another good one gone...........RIP Doris Day. :(

Chinese tariff war and models

I'm not an attorney. I only portray one online: UPDATE: Trump Renews Tariff Threat, Possible 25 Percent Tariffs on Toy Imports from China If you order from overseas stores, you won't see any effect on the prices you pay since toys purchased from outside the U.S. aren't subject to tariffs and, usually, customs duties. You might not want to admit it; but, model kits are classified as toys.
