  1. I've found the tamiya treaded tyres have a habit of turning to dust after ten years, the slicks seem to hold up ok
  2. I'll be getting them
  3. Turns out the wood trim was a pretty rare option on the first us westmoreland built rabbits
  4. Cool paint, just the sorta thing you see at the late model vw shows. Just needs some silly wide bbs wheels now
  5. The revell c2 67 vette convertible has a cross intake for webers. Its the one with the orange custom and blue stocker on the box
  6. Looking forward to seeing more of these, the burn out cars especially cos you just dont see them anywhere else
  7. If you're not worried about using an american truck, emhar do a really nice bedford that wouldn't look out of place. It has a slight early international look to it. I've added a pic of the long wheelbase but there are other shorter versions too
  8. you need to key the body so the paint has something to stick to. The way you've described theres nothing to hold it on. primer would help also as the craft paints wont stick very well to bare plastic. you might get away with using fine skotchbrite pads to key the plastic but primer thats keyed will work much better
  9. Its been a while since I worked on model (6 months) and this one has been calling my name since it arrived so its top of the pile. I'll be building it mostly out of the apart from a severe slamming and wheel swap. I'm not sure about colour yet but it probably wont be an audi colour and to add some interest to the interior I'll be doing it with red seats as otherwise it would be a sea of black. These pics are from the alpha model website and I've included a couple of inspiration pics too
  10. Nice work, I like your pics with it younger brother, shows how much the design changed
  11. It looks like it was done that way to clear the starter, seems to be a bigger gap to the block on the left side
  12. I haven't used them myself but if it was me I'd buy one and use it to copy in plastic as I'm not sure how well the prints hold up
  13. Keep at it mate, I think you can manage it. Just decide how you want it, draw it out on paper and use that as a template for the mods. If you break it down into sections you'll find it easier maybe as its just shapes of plastic being glued together. Alternativelly there are 3d printed chassis available too if it doesn't work out.
  14. hope there wasn't anything important in the lower left box
  15. This morning I donated my entire hot wheels collection to the local foodbank. I made sure to tell them some are worth selling themselves for funds as they could raise them a bit of cash and the others are to be given to kids. Theres over 500 all still in the box so hopefully it makes some kids happy in the new year

  21. Got a dyosha pontiac gto, box says 1964 but its a 72. Also got one of the revell 1/25 vw buses since its different to the current 1/24s. Also got a built up monogram model A, and the alpha models audi rs wagon
  22. I've been noticing a delay when you use paypal. It used to take the money straight away but now it can be 5 days later they take it. Its particularly annoying cos you think they've already taken the money but then find out they haven't when you get groceries and your card gets rejected.
  23. I've seen most styles on ebay in 3d printed resin, some custom versions too. There was quite a few vendors that had them
  24. If you have a pot of revell acrylic aluminum (usually free in the gift sets), adding a few drops of molotowe chrome to it works pretty well but you have to stir it more than you usually would
  25. isn't that how they make doughnuts?
