  1. My own fault, it was a little tight and I pushed the rim instead of the centre. I'm not too upset now, Dimitry from ucsp offered me another single wheel and since I am going to buy more of his wheels anyway he is giving me it free with them. Until them its on one stock wheel as i want it finished for friday for my club comp.
  2. Sweet, thanks for the pics. I'll need to get one too
  3. It was nearly finished
  4. Well that didn't go as planned. Fitting the glass has also raised the rear a lot more than the thickness of the glass so does anyone have a suggestion for getting it down a bit?
  5. Just wondering what this is, I cant make out the grille badge and I've never seen one of these before. Is it a converted truck or even american?
  6. Sweet, these are great fun in the snow
  7. Cool looking car, its interesting to see how much of it toyota seem to have copied for the mk2/chaser model from the 70s
  8. Only these 2 and the razor edge ghia mate. These have full interiors, front screen and a chassis too along with a small pe sheet for the badges, just needing the engines and wheels from the t3 vans. The ghia is a body and interior with bumpers but need a tamiya bug/ghia for the rest. I've only ever seen one of these (412) once when I was a little kid and remember being shocked the owner was putting the groceries in around the engine. I didn't know then that the engine was in the back, lol. Is that a roof rack on youre or did the wagon versiion have a ribbed roof?

    Ratty Bug

Not too much to say about this one, its the polar lights harley quinn bug done as the sort of thing you see at vw shows these days. Pretty much box stock apart from a heavy slam. This was another one night build but I used enamel instead of acrylic. Pretty nice kit for a curbside so since i only got it for the extra wheels that was a pleasant surprise
  10. I dont generally keep my diecast boxes but mine are mostly maisto or welly. Its mostly down to space and I dont mind buying damaged ones either. I should say that I buy them to build as models so to me the size is more important. I was looking at a burago 1/24 porsche 356 this afternoon and while it was very nice it seemed the scale was well off being nearer 1/20 at a guess.
  11. Dont they share an owner and factory?
  12. I've had the tamiya 1mm and 2 and 3mm white leave a gooey mess a couple of times but that was with the awful simoniz paints. It works well with everything else I've tried and I use frog yellow tape for large areas. I've been thinking to try the frisket (i think that the brand name) airbrush film to do my own lettering at some point
  13. I hate when that happens but if its any consolation the paint you did looks smooth and nice mate
  14. They came staggered and with the tyres. Compared to aoshima wheels they seem a little smaller but the quality is very good. There are a lot of other on their site and ebay pages too
  15. Just in from air trax is a vw 411 and a vw 412. shipped from finland on friday and arrived in the far north of scotland this morning. some uk sellers cant even manage that, lol
  16. your best bet is probably welly diecast but you could also check the ford website. I remember seeing them list 3d prints of one of the pick ups a few years ago but they weren't cheap
  17. It took 5 hours but the decals are on. The 968 kit i took them from was pretty old so some took a lot of jigsawing back together to get on. The blue decals were ok but the white ones put up a good fight but I got reasonably close. They were also too big but respacing and some careful trimming got them reduced enough to fit the doors. I also got the interior finished off and added the chrome to the wheels. You cant see too well in the pics but the centres and baskets of the wheels are gold.
  18. I think this is the first time mines been tidy enough to get pics. This is just the complete kits. Theres a few tubs of parts and maybe 25-30 started kits too. I've got them sorted into vw and porsche kits above my bench, american kits under the bench and to the right. Also to the right and under the us kits are larger boxes, my wheels sorted into sets in the black tubs with my resin (mostly vw and british cars) to the right of that. On another set of shelves I have more larger boxes that didn't fit the shelves. Up until this weekend most of thie was stacked on my couch due to a lack of shelving. Its kinda nice to be able to see it for a change
  19. I dont suppose anyone has one of his 35 ford front end conversions they'd part with? I had been meaning to get one after i saw them on his fotki account
  20. you wont be dissapointed with them, I tend to buy a few sets when I have extra cash to keep me out of the pub
  21. This is the car I'm trying to get close to, only the sponsor logos are stickers, the rest is all paint http://www.speedhunters.com/2018/05/envisioning-reality-the-old-and-new-porsche-911/
  22. I've got these rear fenders like these left over from the trans kit if they are any help mate, the trans kit came with 2 options. Got a mint body and bumper too
  23. They're from ucsp mate, thay say 19 but i think that must be in 1/25 as my aoshima wheels are all bigger
  24. This is the c1 trans kit for the tamiya 996. I am building it as the rothmans version that is one of the big hitters in the euro stance scene, but I have dont a couple of little changes. I decided against bbs wheels and instead went for some ucsp 1552 dkubus rims in 19" staggered fitment. Dont worry about the pic with the wheels sticking out, that was just to test fit and they weren't pushed in tight, just loosely in place so they could be removed. I also altered the paint a little to simplify the masking. I will be using the decals from the tamiya 956 kit. Other than a lot of lowering the rest of the kit is pretty much stock. All thats left to paint is the black on the glass and wiper panel but I'll probably brush them with citadel mephisto black as it has a nice rubber look when it gets a little wax. Still a couple of pieces to go on the chassis but its nearly there. I've included a pic to show how much wider than the stock kit it is
