Here's a little bit of a different build of mine. I started with a hasegawa kubelwagen kit 1/24 scale, but since I'm not a military builder I went for a rough drag style and left the army stuff in the box. The engine block is from a revell t25 UN van kit but the rest is mostly scratch built from scraps and the part box. The cage is from a revell beretta pro street, as is most of the drag parts. I wanted it to look like the body had been pulled from storage in good condition, but left as it was put away. The whole thing was painted by multiple layers of dry brushing with various matt and metal paints over a satin black base. The only mod to the body is I leaned the windscreen back to line up with the cage which was done in flourescant orange to get just a little colour into it. I'll try to add pics again later as it isn't letting me just now for some reason. I'm only getting the spinning arrow when I try to add them, so here's a link for now.

Thanks mate, I found it pretty forgiving when I chopped it, the thick plastic maybe worked in my favor in that respect, but I didn't use too much of the kit in the end. just the body/chrome pieces and chassis.

Thanks guys. I know what you mean about the cab back, and the next one will have a full beetle roof to try and make it blend better

This is another truck I built. I saw some pictures online of an original bug done this way and thought it might works on the new beetle. It has an engine from a fujimi porsche 911 flipped 180 in the bed, and I tried to add airlines for the suspension and brake pipes. I'd like to do another of this, but make it a 6 wheel mini semi with some kinda trailer but it wont be for a while.

I built this last year for a build off on jerryscherrys forum. It's the lindberg kit with one or two changes. The interior is from a camero, engine from a mpc doh charger and the rest is from the floor/leftovers. I read somewhere about office workers having raised desks that they stand at. I believe the reason was to cut the number of dodgy backs from sitting hunched over all day. If I remember correctly it cut the number of sick days for backs, by about half

Nice details, I particularly like the broken mirror glass with the workings exposed.

If you look on some of the japanese kit sale sites, a lot of them say if they come with left or right dashes. Hasegawa and aoshima tend to include both.
