  1. If theres any cars that you're in hurry to build theres always 3d printed kits. They need more work and some are lacking in a lot of areas but they make up for it in variety. for example say you want a plymouth belvedere, would you like 4 doors or 2? sedan or wagon? or do you want a different body style for your chevy pick up? crew cab or regular? long bed or short? dually or single? blazer or suburban? as they come they are a little basic but build a nice enough model, but some kitbashing (or the aftermarket if you want modern) gets you a nicer chassis and running parts, while the rest just needs more effort. even without any effort you get something presentable from 10ft. this was a bottle of resin at 1pm on a sunday and by 6pm on monday i had a model nobody has done in pastic. not a great example as it was just to see how fast i could print and build something and its a bad print but... its not the same as plastic and honestly i prefer plastic but it opens up a whole world of options with clever kitbashing. they might seem expensive but how much do vintage kits cost.
  2. if you have molotowe or similar, you can put a thin coat on a flat eraser, then when its tacky gently roll the light over it, taking care to do it evenly. if you tape a cocktail stick to the light it makes it easier. it might take a couple of tries but you can build it up if you let the lights dry between atempts.
  3. if it was purple it would almost be my mates mini, lol. nice work Dan
  4. theres next to no chrome on the car so i cant see how its a deal breaker.
  5. i've not got any that old but i know its a 2 page article on a very similar car if not this one
  6. found the thread and the pics are still there
  7. was the car on the box art featured in the back of rod and custom during the mid 90s? i'm sure it had a name for the car too
  8. there was a member a few years back that trimmed their rabbit to get longer flocking on a 50s chrysler.
  9. tamiya light smoke should work but you'll probably need more than one coat.
  10. i could have banned them. i didn't. calling the staff morons is against the rules in the same way it would be if i called him names. i dont know about anyone else but i do this voluntary because i want to give something back to a hobby that gives me a massive amount of enjoyment and i dont appreciate being called a moron. i try to be as fair as possible to everyone and i've given some of you chances to fix posts instead of putting them on moderation.
  11. i have a 1/24 version of that car from heller. 32 parts and 24 of them are the wheels, lol
  12. when they say more detailed content descriptions they really mean it too. i have to list every item in a kit individually now. my last kits i posted had 3 pages of contents each and the lady in the post office wasn't happy having to type it all out. over 20 mins to post 1 package, and i had 4 of them. i tried writing sealed model kit and they refused it.
  13. is this the one with opening doors?
  14. i opened the boot yesterday but had to wait on the light for pics. i added the strip of styrene before cutting along the glass to give it some more strength. opening the boot also made it much easier to fix the massive sink marks on the bootlid. so far it looks like a wont need the resin lid, though it does fit. and i've included the only pic i've been able to find for inside a zakspeed trunk
  15. the one by digitalsurface has a flathead in it but i'm sure it could be stretched in a slicer to fit another engine
  16. you're already further than i got last year, i only opened my box to rob the engine for someting else, lol
  17. it wont fit. the fujimi is 1/24 and the revell is 1/25. the fujimi dash is much wider than the revell body
  18. do you have any local selling groups for general clothes and household stuff? i've got some sucess on those with want ads. one of my items offered was a 1/12 airfix bentley for £25 and a really very fine diecast ford tractor in 1/16 thats just too nice for the purpose i got it for. another sourcecould be ask your friends parents, they might remember someone that used to build which could lead to kits
  19. very cool, looking forward to more
  20. talkin loud but aint saying nothing describes most media
  21. if you look on cults for a designer called DigitalSurface, they have a couple sets of salt tyres and rims and also a bellytank racecar. i've printed a few of their files and they turn out nice
  22. i had some change after buying more printer resin so to use it up i got this. it feels like its a little under 1/25 scale but i haven't measured it. airfix dont list a scale on their site
  23. a very minor change in my medication packaging has completely mixed me up. theres the same amount in the package and all but they are laid out just different enough that i've lost track of if i've taken them or not. before i could just look at the strips and know i've taken them but that doesn't work with the new layout
