Large Scale Forum ?
stitchdup replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
I agree that bikes probably should have their own section or be included in cars at least (i'll suggest it) as they seem to be getting more popular to build (and i like the 70s hondas). As for the scale, its you guys that name your threads so include that its large scale in there. As for miscelanous being obscure, its in the same section as the others types of builds so just scroll a little longer maybe. Theres not really much we can do to increase the views as we dont control what you view on the site. Maybe posting in the mock ups thread could increase views or add a base and post in dioramas too -
Paint Booths & Safe Ventilation?
stitchdup replied to Synister's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I'm finding i have my booth mounted too low down. I think i'm going to raise it up closer to chest height as i prefer standing up to paint. It should give me more storage space too. But can someone recommend a good filter material? i'm using fairly fibrously loose stuff now but it gives me a lot of back spray and i'm running out anyway so need to make a purchase soon. Is the tighter fibres stuff any better? -
Well the kit arrived and its by maurai. It has working lights and interior with opening doors and looks like it should be an interesting build when i get to it. The engine is just a top part but looks like some detail could be added. I'm happy with it

What did you see on the road today?
stitchdup replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
the reg plate says its an ocelot so i'm going with that -
a mercury cougar grille centre might work better for you. it is much closer looking to the 71 grille and might just need the front edge of the hood modded. the hood also you might also be able to use for the galaxie as it has the right shapes already. maybe a secong gen camaro or firebird could get you close to the rear lights

I've done the same thing, I misread an ad for transkit and then spent 6 months searching for a hasegawa crew cab

I had a guy dealing heroin staying upstairs a few years back. the cops raided him many times but never found anything. our bins got collected a day early after christmas and i found his stash hidden behind them. I opened the bag and used it for the toilet then called the cops. they found it that time. but this guy was the same idiot that tried to rob a post office and ended up being beaten by a kid with tape dispenser. the video was on youtube but i cant find it now. edit; found it https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-17377089

there were some wordscausing posts to be rejected. Most seemed to be co mmand type words and need spaces or extra letters added to get the post past the issue. If it might be word used for computer commands try doing the above and see if it works. I'm not really a computer guy but this was an issue for some members fairly recently until Dave figured it out

It looks like they reduced the angle the parts were printed at to try and print it faster. I get this happening on bodies quite often which would be around the same size. Theres every chance the seller just didn't notice the warp as when the parts are seperate and still on the supports they can look decent. Its only when you use them you find the flaws
