  1. Tamiya beetles, I stopped counting at 18 but i have loads of parts and trans kits for many of them. Besides, you can never have enough bugs. I just empty the new ones into a large tote now
  2. I went to Mcdonalds this afternoon and had a kids happy meal. His mother was not happy
  3. On older british boxes it sometimes just says 24 scale
  4. I'm a laptop user but you should have an option similar to new tab or open page in new tab. It might be called something else. I know when i've used my mum's ipad i end up with loads of open tabs which annoys her.
  5. Pro tip: keep a whistle beside the phone and save anyone else getting called for half an hour. Those phone headsets are much louder than our phones. Make sure its a scam first or you might get some visitors in uniform
  6. I'm not sure if those boxes are legal in the uk. There was a group jailed recently for selling boxes like those for sports channels so I would expect the law would be the same for television. They got lengthy jail time for it. If your tv has a scart connection you would be better off just plugging in your laptop and using a vpn to access other countries channels and streams. Thats how I do it and I'm a tight fisted scotsman. There are codes available to change your netflix region that opens up a whole load more content also.
  7. thats a different kit from the one i had. It was more of a darker blue and had different bumpers. I'm sure it said 1998 on the box.
  8. theres an amt kit in various versions without the hood scoops. I think it has a blue car on the box
  9. Cool vid. the pink pig has been done too but i like your colour scheme better, this ones in china
  10. yeah but this one is the same price as one molotowe pen and it can be handled. Its not like we leave our models out in the weather so nonoe of that should matter to us.
  11. look up the uk charles bronson, the guys a raving nutjob. It isn't referring to the actor
  12. I bought this charles bronson soap dispenser but i think i'm going to take it back.
  13. Painted the engine today. Its no longer from the skyline and is now an intermechannica front blown flathead with a coyote 6 speed
  14. I purchased this paint a few months back after seeing some chrome grafitti that was chrome. It comes in a large can and is much much cheaper than molotowe or revell. For the test I am using 3 printed parts for a front mounted blown flathead which is going in the delahaye along with the coyote gearbox. The parts on the engine were primed with duplicolour filler primer, then i used montana gloss black and 2 hours later i hit it with the chrome paint. The parts laying loose beside the engine were done the same way but have been brushed with coat of tamiya light smoke. And finally we get to what someone is bound to ask, can it be cleared? well I havent tried any of my mild clears yet but i did do the exhaust manifold with duplicolour clear. I should point out i did the primer on friday, the black and chrome yesterday and the clear and smoke today. I have also handled the engine the usual amount while assembling it and the chrome effect seems to hold up decently. I'm not sure how long the cans will last as they seem to be very low pressure and the best chrome effect is achieved with one very light mist coat followed almost immediatelly with a heavy coat. I haven't tried decanting it to airbrush because that would mean leaning to operate and clean it, but i do intend to, lol. I paid £7 a can. It also comes in gold which looks good too. It is a grafitti paint
  15. I believe Pat Ganahl was quite involved with the magazine so I expect his passing has delayed things sadly
  16. you could drill them and use bent pins or the bent area from a paperclip.
  17. nails? does almost the same job as a rivet but needs to be hit with a hammer first, lol
  18. click the envelope symbol at the top of the page, or hover the cursor over the person you want to pms name and a box of options will pop up
  19. the ooh squirrel, has almost as many projects as kits but bounces from one project to the other at random but rarely finishes anything (edit this may be me)
  20. back on the bench
  21. You could make on if you have small files. Just take a bit of the sprue and start shaping the end into a shifter. I find it simpler to leave it on a decent length of the sprue while shaping it and just remove the section of sprue last. Leaving the section of sprue on gives you something to hold on to
  22. just cut them out yourself from good quality masking tape
  23. Your all missing the trick. The secret is to buy euro revell and japanese kits, then you put the box inside a family box of supermarket own brand corn flakes because nobody ever eats them. Thus you have willingly bought the kids breakfast and successfully sneaked your kit into the house
  24. theres a resin kit available. you often see them advertised in diecast magazines but i dont think i've seen them in model shops. I have seen one built though and it looked decent. maybe beemax or nunu (or whatever their name is now) will see fit to kit one since they are doing the sd1. I read somewhere that jaguar, under william lyons, designed the car body first then engineered the rest to fit. The first designs and pics were done at his house instead of the factory. I believe the xj6 was the last car he designed before british leyland took over and gave us the xj-s.
