  1. Thanks, its montana chrome gold, its a grafitti paint i saw used while i was south so i asked where to get some. I've tried their chrome too but its just a non metallic silver. I think I'll give this a coat of s-02 or gauzy sealer before i do the candy. I get the feeling the hok will be too hot for it and those sealers can be cleared with duplicolour so that should fix any compatibility issues before they happen. I'm tempted to mask off the louvres too. I was going to foil them but the gold could be kinda cool for some detail
  2. I cant wait to get the hok candy on!!!! this is dry paint!! I cant even get real gold to look this gold
  3. you can print bodies in 2 parts but you run the risk of the 2 sides not lining up right. I've printed out a skoda ambulance with a join running the full length of the body. the 2 joining faces are close to lining up but there will be a lot to fill after getting the faces lined up and the grille being split down the centre is going to be a chore to get right. if you can I would suggest get the biggest printer you can if you will be doing bodies, if its just the odd one now and again a smaller one will suffice but for bodies bigger is easier to work with. I have the anycubic photon mono x for my smaller printer and i dont think I would want anything smaller than it. It can do bodies in 1 part which i like but its small enough that i can use t for smaller items and the bigger one for bodies.
  4. After 2 weeks of mostly standing like a plum outside the same shops in every mall or street we passed, I'm finally home and able to sleep in my own bed. The marks and spencer on princess street in edinburgh had the most comfortable window ledge
  5. If my camera is charged up when i start a build i'll do a wip, if not i tend to forget. Sometimes its just down to what mood I'm in at the time or if things are moving really quick i tend to stick at it rather than stop for pics.
  6. octopus was an early tidal generator that later became the snake tidal generator
  7. sorry about the pics in wrong order, i'm on the north sea and the internet is poor
  8. if its on acrylic paint, clear nail varnish should do it. dries in a few minutes if its a warm room and its a little thicker than paint, but really its just thick acrylic. a toothpik or cocktail stick works well for it
  9. not sure if its all that rare but i've never seen another also never seen another i'm not sure how rare this one is but its the only scirocco in 1/24 scale original revell bus, 1/25 scale not the more recent 1/24s and my absolutely rare pair of renault dauphines I recieved in trade on this forum which totally made my day, week and year. one hubley and one premier
  10. logistics just means they bullied the town into lower taxes for them to move there, it has nothing to do with logic
  11. that would depend on which glue you use, araldite gives me a banging sore head the next day, even if i use it in the booth with it running full power. Its even worse if i eat grapefruit for breakfast but then grapefruit shouldn't be eaten if your on medication as something about it changes how they affect you
  12. i bought a 1/12 57 chevy just to get 2 of the crager rims and tyres. put it back on ebay then got more than my money back. I'll be using the grey fergie kit for mine with some printed engine most likelly so i can scale it up a little so it fills the under hood more
  13. I might have posted some of these before, i still find them funny though
  14. i found the auction site but it not really an auction site. just one that says what live auctions sold for. Its quite an annoying site as it pops up under shopping on google yet it dont sell anything
  15. the worst food i have ever had the misfortune to be served as from a diner in nashville in 2020. I dont know what it was called but it was across the road from the nascar cafe/race rock (cant remember which) My burger and fries were served in a bowl of disgusting greasy water. It was worse than my mothers boiled mutton (or rope boiled in stock cube as i call it)
  16. i prefer gasser style (the video is only restricted because it an alcohol advert)
  17. I cant make out the scale in the pic. do you know what it is? if its 1/24 i'll have to hunt one out
  18. development of social skills is the job of parents though most leave it to the teachers these days
  19. its called an appocalypse hellfire https://www.hotcars.com/best-features-of-the-apocalypse-hellfire-6x6/
  20. Nice build, the front swap is a cool look
  21. I once read that the best art is flawed, or the flaws make the art, so when it comes to my models i just try to have fun. I try to get the intent of my build more than the details but i do like to add detail to some parts. I just dont feel the need to have every detail correct and i try to do different details on builds. If i add brake lines i probably wont add wiring etc.. I try to only add detail where it will be seen without having to pick it up and unless its something exposed the undersides of my builds are probably matt or satin black as when its on the shelf it not seen. I admire the builds that have every detail butfor how i build underside detail is a waste of time from the firewall back. When i get to the audi drag car i wont be detailing under the cabin but i probably will detail the rest best i can. If its not perfect its no loss to me but i do like to have whats seen look realistic
  22. could the cloudiness be caused by not enough heat in those specific areas? if it maybe warming the glass a little with a heat gun/hairdryer would cure the cloudiness. I am just guessing here, i dont have any vac forming experience with clear and only did some little things at school using non transparent plastic about 35 years ago but i seem to remember using more heat in some areas
  23. thats got a pretty nice flow to it, i can see the fender shapes working well on something 30 or 40s with a sloped back ala 37 sedan
