  1. Aight Big K, go catch some waves! And may Aloha be with you.
  2. Hi, I just wanted to mention this as I did before but it seemed to be glanced over or ignored. Sites that are not resposive will recieve a low page ranking from Google. This is a kiss of death and so all sites either play ball or take the fall. MCM must keep up to stay relevant. My wife insisted on doing my site for this very reason. Did I like my old one, sure. Do I like my new one, no... I love it!
  3. Wow, wow and wow! I bought the Revell Cobra kit #4011 but won't be getting to it for a bit. Yours will be inspiration for it.
  4. This is a fun topic. I'm eyeing a transparent Speed Racer Mach-5! http://z12.invisionfree.com/ScaleModelsMalaysia/ar/t3765.htm The engine/tranny look killer. Unsure if its my next purchase but I'm a lookin
  5. Hi XJ6, Well, I can try to help. What size and image format were you trying to upload? Also, what exact error were you getting? As I like to tell my audience; Can you be more vague please
  6. Hi Gregg (MCM master), Unsure where to post this but was wondering if its possible to have a save draft option on posts? Not so much for replies to topics but when creating an initial topic. It takes me a bit to formulate thoughts, pics etc when I'm wanting to post in either under glass or workbench sections. For now I simply do em offline in vi or something and copy when ready.
  7. Well frankly none of you maintain a web site let alone your computers so give it a rest already. Gregg and the crew most likely don't really need this site running as it seems a time suck. There mag generates some sort of income, not this forum. So be a little appreciative of there efforts as well as the efforts of the moderators.
  8. Wow thats friggen killer!
  9. Hmm. Then perhaps the new site doesn't support my old Safari browser on iMac any more, unlike everyplace else on the face of the Internet. I can't upgrade without spending a few hundred dollars that I don't have. If you are running 10.6, you are indeed out of luck w/Safari unfortuantly and many sites present and future. No more support or updates from crApple. I'd suggest Chrome or Firefox as they'll run on 10.6
  10. Well, not to be support but I've had no issues on Nexus pad/phone, various iPad/iPhone, various Macs, Linux. Just ensure your browsers are up to date. Although personally stay away from Firefox v39 and keep at 38 but thats just me. Other then that the site simply works. Do the norm, clear your browser cache etc... A little link to help you do this with various browsers; http://www.bnl.gov/itd/webapps/browsercache.asp
  11. I thought to post some info on why MCM probably had to go down this route of change. I don't think they did it for changes sake but because of Google, who basically dictates search. Google, earlier this year released some new page rankinig metrics, basically how easily a site can be found, or in reality IF it can be found. They always release new metrics but this year was a real doozy! If you are not mobile friendly, ie; resposive, you will drop in rank and in fact may not exsist as most ppl don't venture past the 3rd search page. So to ppl who have not had the privilegde in discovering MCM on line, may no longer be able to. That is util MCM redid the site. Granted most of the internet is dark, not searchable and private meaning you gotta know the site URL to get to it. But still, to most normal sites and I'm sure MCM has an income stream from this site as I see ads, its crucial to abide by the latest best practices.
  12. Very cool, now its a "responsive site" meaning it scales properly on any device. Looks cool on my iPhone. Nice work MCM crew, especially since OT is Own Time
  13. Vallejo just got back to me and are sending replacement bottles. Wow, awesome customer service! In reality its not there fault if paint sits around for a while and gets dried out so I'm pretty stoked.
  14. Ah, thanks Skip. In terms of the bad paint, I noticed a very strong and nauseous oder of Amonia from all of the bad bottles. Not only but when shaken up, they would max out the bottle. In other words, my good bottles of Vallejo are not topped off to the max and when shaken do not go to the max inside bottle. But these bad bottles would max out when shaken. Its like they would expand quickly. Very intersting behavior. In terms of giving up, I won't as its simply par for the coarse.
  15. Actaully I just used 2 other colors and they went on wonderfully. No thinning, no fuss no muss. To mix, Vallejo suggests to squeeze the bottle and then role around in your palms which I do. I then drop a few on paper and swirl around with my brush. EZ PZ. I do have disltilled water and may get there thinner.
  16. Actually I looked at all my fluorescent bottles and they are about the same, thick and pasty. I bought them all from the same vendor and will contact them.
  17. Well, I couldn't shake it well enough because it was soo full and soo thick, I tried believe me. The bottle was very hard to clean as well. Even after getting it in a glass jar, it was like putty. Weird right?!
  18. I bought the Model Color line. I emptied the paint into a glass jar and mixed a few drops of Fow Aid with about 20% distilled water and will let it sit over night. I had a very hard time getting all the paint out of there bottle. Its pretty much toast but I have nothing to loose here. I won't buy any more Vallejo fromage until I hear back from them. Not a real fan of spending good money after bad.
  19. I got em from varius places at the same time. They seem to have diff batch numbers on em as well.
  20. It gets chunky with alcohol but I tried with distilled water, no dice. Am trying Flow Aid but still no dice really. I'm waiting a bit to see. Funny how most pieces I paint with Vallejo I end up stripping, total bummer.
  21. My silver paint would brush on chunky. I'm unsure whats going on as I've read and watched many videos on how great they are. I just got a bad batch is all. Do you have any suggestions on how I can de-cream it? Its got lower viscosity then Log Cabin syrup mixed with Elmars Glue and baking soda.
  22. I must be cursed! I try soo very hard and it takes me a long time to build models mainly cuz of paint issues. I'll get through it, I always end up solving problems but it sure is a frustrating road to a solution.
  23. ... and I thought it was going to be revolutionary and very fun to paint with. Man I am so very upset. I've emailed the company and I'm sure they will send me yet again a replacement as I had a silver bottle with a similar gross outcome. Any one have this experiance with them? I sat there a good 5 seconds atleast trying to snap the pic. As you can see, gravity had little effect on the paint.
  24. Well, I'm prolly gonna use this just for computer/stereo dusting, solvant spraying and cleaner spraying. I think the re-use factor is very cool, I get really tired of buying air cans and go through many. In terms of paint, well I use spray cans for now and foresee a day when airbrush will be in my repertoire. But baby steps, baby steps. And I've learned my lesson trying to cut corners and be a wise guy. I pretty much listen to the masters on this forum.
  25. I did see an interesting Youtube of it were a compressor was constantly feeding it air, about 8 minutes into it; All in all an interesting little thing.
