  1. No, a rollover in that thing would not be nice, but it's not very nice to rollover in a 1:1 R8 either. But I still wonder how they think one can get the rollcage to look good inside the model when it is all soft and bendy like that. And what glue works on it?
  2. The flames are one of the things that has stopped me from finishing of the model, here is a quick picture of how it sits today:
  3. One of the best movies ever made in Norway, seen it many times. Here is a clip that contains part of the race scene: A clip from the Norwegian car show Autofil with the real full scale replica:
  4. Yes, I know that Fireball Modelwork has them and I do want to order them but it would be cool if Round 2 added a set of steel wheels and dogdish hubcaps. They do have them already (even if they are very wide) in the Dodge Monaco police car kit.
  5. I'm not a 100% they do shipping inside of the US but when I bought my Dodge truck I got it shipped from Idaho to Oslo via Long Beach with this company: https://www.schumachercargo.com/ I think they did a good job.
  6. I have always liked The Last Run from 1971, has a rare BMW 503 in it for most of the movie: http://imcdb.org/movie.php?id=67329 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067329/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Storyline from IMDB: A former getaway driver from Chicago (George C. Scott) has retired to a peaceful life in a Portuguese fishing village. He is asked to pull off one last job, involving driving a dangerous crook and his girl-friend to France. However, the job turns out to be a double-cross and the trio are pursued back to Portugal where they make one last stand on the coast while the enemy assassins attempt to gun them down. Lots of driving in that movie (basicly a road movie) and cool european cars.
  7. The only thing those 1/20 deep dish steel wheels are good for is the 1:20 Ford van and then with the Formula Desert Dog tires that is in the 4x4 version of it that was recently reissued. I would prefer these kind of wheels:
  8. The real ones are not that highly priced, look at this noce looking 79: https://www.ebay.com/itm/352530267400?ul_noapp=true

  10. Sure is needed, this ThundersTruck kit ended at 122,50 last night on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/MPC-1981-1-0442-THUNDERS-TRUCK-DODGE-PULLING-TRUCK-1-25-/362494356450?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l44720
  11. * The summer of 1958 must have been a cold one, the trees have not even grown leafs yet... From the movie Return to Macon County from 1974. And yes, I still need to finish the model of that 57 Chevy.
  12. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.... What about the 340 from recently reissued Duster, that could fit in very nicely. Or a slant six, or more modern Hemi, or (one of my ideas with the LRE) fit the complete chassis/engine/drivetrain from the Revell RAM VTS kit, or a resin Cummins diesel. You are so correct, so may options.
  13. So I was asking about an F250 conversion a little earlier. Look what I just came across on Bring A Trailer: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1965-ford-f-250-5/ Looks really nice, and from Tim Boyds phot above, it looks like we are going to get a long bed aswell and we already have the F250 hubcaps
  14. Looks great!! Your 4x4 conversion is a sweet looking one, I have to remeber that one for later.
  15. A friend of mine brought his latest Heller reissue to our modelclub meet last week. I had a look at it and it looked quite good. Only thing I can put my finger on as an issue is that they have put the rollcage, seats and bits of the exhaust on the same partstree as the tires and therefore they are molded in vinyl. A vinyl rollcage, as much stability as cooked spaghetti
  16. A friend of mine bought it a couple of years ago (he did infact also buy my 85 W123 wagon this year) Cool 190 you grew up with. My already mentioned friend just happend to buy a 61 190 just like that (only in black) this weekend. But it is all the way up north so it he will pick it up first thing in the spring. Having a bit rubber is deffinantly a positive thing when you live in area with bad roads. Around here the roads are very bumpy and full of cracks and holes. Not a good place to drive around with big expensive rims and rubberband tires.
  17. Yeah, tires in the 14", 15" and even 16" and 17" are becoming oddball sizes these days. 18" is considered a good size for a small car these days. But then again, todays small cars are not really small compared to a older car. The 97 Civic I had was a tiny car and even that was big compared to let say a original mini. My Civic had 175/70-13 and when I some years ago wanted to buy new tires for my beetle they claimed that 165/80-15 was a tiresize that did not exist. I had to have the tireshop guy come outside with me so I could show him that I did actually have tires in that size on my bug. My old 65 Mercedes 190 has 13" wheels and if one has a mk1 Ford Cortina or similar they came with 12" wheels. I'm glad there is suppliers of classis tires around, even if they are more expensive.
  18. Just another doomsdaymovie: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3741700/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Don't see any flatfender Jeeps in the trailer but I do see a Humvee. But the Dodge truck is really great news. They go for really silly money on Ebay, like 100$ for a some parts alone. I got two of the LRE trucks but want more of them.
  19. Cool looking truck, your paintjob is great
  20. Even if it is a simple kit, I think it looks quite good and I do want one.
  21. This is not really a celebrity crush of mine but I think this girl is stunningly beautiful: Her name is Astrid Smeplass, artist name Astrid S. She comes from a small place not very far from where I live and she sings: She was in the Norwegian version of Pop Idol in 2013, ended up 5th apparently. I'm not a huge fan of here music but the man that gets to wake up next to her every morning is a very lucky one indeed.
  22. Thanks guys for making that clear. Maybe someone could offer a resincopy of the bed from the old AMT 60 Ford truck then or maybe one could use the utility bed that they are going to offer in a M/K issue. Would most trucks with utility beds be the half-ton trucks back in the 60s or was it more common for a 3/4 ton or bigger with a utility bed? And did and F250 4x2 have high floor cabs aswell or would they be the low floors? I like this one on youtube, maybe a possible modelproject:
  23. Would the chassis parts from the 4x4 kit and the Fireball Modelworks F250 conversion parts be accurate parts to make this in to a F250 4x4? Or did they use the older style of bed/box on the 4x4 trucks?
  24. It is so nice to read your opinions on this, thank you all. All I normally hear about is how great the batterypowered thingies are and that I am a dinosaur myself for wanting to drive my so called "fossil car". You guys made my day, thank you all As for the Camaro, sure, why not. An electric dragracer can work just fine as it only has to go a quarter of a mile at the time
