  1. So i'm sitting here with Polar Ligths 64 Pontiac GTo snap kit and AMT 65 Chevelle wagon. I got this idea of makin a 64 Pontiac wagon by taking the roof from the Chevelle kit over on the Pontiac body. I'm looking at pictures and from what I can see there is little differece between the 64 and 65 Chevelle wagons and the roofline on a 64 Tempest looks similar aswell but is it? Anyone here know these cars good? Am I all on a lost track with this or is a realistic thing to do?
  2. Anyone know if this is still available? Is there a way to order outside of facebook? I can't find a 73-79 Ford on the RMR site but they do have a 73-79 chevy crew cab.
  3. Same here, a nice kit in 1:24-1:25 would be great. Would I buy one in 1:8? Not so sure, I have never been in to the big scale stuff and at the prices they are selling for it would probably be to much but I will never say never
  4. Here in Norway we have had "stealth" police cars for many years. The traffic police use cars called "civilian police cars" Here is one example: The picture come from this website: https://sivilpoliti.net/ The only way to tell that these are policecars is when you or someone else gets pulled over you will see the flashing blue LEDs in the grille and rear window. The police are very secretive about the identity of the cars as they are used to take out seriuos traffic offenders that are used to spotting a policecar from a long distance. The policecars are used in several different ways, a lot of the time they will be driving around and catch offenders they spot and sometimes they are used to have "stealthy" radarcontrols where they will be parked in a way that they can not be easily spotted. And if you wonder what a normal policecar look like around here, this is one example:
  5. Yes, please give us more sets of luggage and stuff to put in car (also figures). I have collected quite a few figures over the years and also some stuff to put inside my models. I put a suitcase on the passengerseat in a 64 Ford some years ago and a scratchbuilt Yucca palm in the backseat and a female driver from Fujimis drivers set. The suitecase came from AMT (old MPC) 32 Chrysler. I also filled the trunk and the interior of a 49 Mercury, scratchbuilt cardboardbox, tools from variuos kits and a sack of potatoes from Tamiya 1:35 field kitchen kit. Old newspapers and a brakechute from some other kit as a parcel on the backseat.
  6. Very cool looking rod, the more I see of this kit the more I feel I need one to build myself aswell. I have never been a hot rod guy but this looks really cool
  7. I think I will buy one just for the decals, they look really cool
  8. Would AMT and Revell cooparate on kits back then?
  9. How about Tamiya 1966 Volkswagen 1300. I have not built one personally but I have a couple of the kits and from looking at the parts and looking at pictures of built ups they do look very close to accurate and I own a 1:1 69 VW 1300 and I'm an active member in the vw-club and scene so I have seen many 1:1 bugs from many angles and i many ways over the years.
  10. Great looking build, you have done a fine job on all the details
  11. I think it looks very nice in shiny black aswell. I bit like a hearse maybe (I think that is a good thing)
  12. Ahh...very nice. I regret selling my kit when I see this but luckily they are not difficult to get hold of. And I really like your avatar
  13. Sweet loking bug, I love it!! I really like the pictures out in the sunshine, it makes the color pop. Are the wheels from the Polar Lights bug?
  14. Excellent looking rig, you really pulled it off with that conversion on the trailer
  15. This looks very nice. Reminds me of my first truck kit, I built Revell AGs version of this back in ca 1998. Brush painted midnight blue it looked nowhere near as nice as yours.
  16. Great looking truck, you have done a good job on the conversion. How was the fitment on the tires to the rims? I had the Peterbilt 359 kit in the same series and that had tires that looked like they had been taken out of the mold to early.
  17. Really a great result, love the details in your weathering job. Also very cool to see all four toghether. Looks like Emhar has done their homework on this kits and given us decals of actual trucks
  18. Thank you very much guys I am contemplating a slight weathering job on this one so maybe I will do that and add some updated pics sometime later.
  19. Very nice, I like it
  20. Thank you very much for the comments guys
  21. This is finished and you can find the finished pictures here:
  22. I'm calling this one done. I do feel that this could have turned out a little better but as we all know, a rush job is a bad job and this was rushed to finished state before the weekend. I painted the body on thursday and I had plans on a spectacular paintjob with graphics but had to settle for satin black and added some skull-and-bones from Revells old 1:25 bajabug kit "Killer Bee". I also would have liked to see it wider, with wider wheels front and back and some bumpers/protection front and back and also some weathering but I did not have time to do so and since I got lots of kits and several ongoing projects I'm putting this on the shelf and say that it is done.
  23. I think I will buy that willys, I'm not a stooges fan but I kind of like the look of the boxart model and from the sound of things it can probably be built up in to a cool looking model.
  24. Yes, a very nice build indeed, and I wonder if one with a lot of work could maybe convert one in to a Vauxhall Cavalier or as I know it, a Opel Ascona. Or maybe even a conversionjob in to a Opel Manta....hmmm...need to look out for one of these now
  25. Cool looking kit, maybe it would be possible to make castings out of one?
