  1. Just a notice to the Wrecker: The first issue was 1993, the second issue in 2013. Maybe we'll get it in 2033 ? Every 20 years ?
  2. Definitally. I have all the MPC / AMT/ERTL F-Body of the 3rd Generation in my stash because I'm a big fan of it. I has been addicted to it, when I bought my 1988 Formula 305 back in 2000. Love that car. What I want to say was, that the MPC rims weren't that pretty like Monogram / ARRI did their rims. I think, we are on the same opinion Maybe it was a missunderstanding. The first issue of the T-Top was around 1984 The solid top was earlier on the marked. Man, I love this kits too.
  3. And that is right as written. At that time, it was almost mandatory to develop models whose basis already existed. So they took the 359 and built a prototype model of it. There is a website of the developer (for Revell) if you don't believe. I think this fact is know if you're very interessted in this kit https://www.truckin24.de/peterbilt-379-wrecker/ And a youtube video: Btw 1: Did you know, that this Alakan Hauler has a three-axle-frame included in the kit instead a four-axle-frame? There is a seperate sprue added with the parts for the 4th axle, which those you have to enlarge the chassis by yourself. The sprues are basically the 359. On the Wrecker they did a new frame (then). Btw 2: I often told my contact at Revell Germany, that they should think about getting re-issues of some US-trucks. In my focus and what I recommended is this Wrecker indeed (or the Firetruck, or Automover....) Greetings from Germany!
  4. I saw the video on youtube and was astonished, how much details this kit has. Ok. The price is a lot money anyway... What I like: the instruction sheet contains all produced Tucker by color. So you can built one Tucker you llike most. That is pretty cool. The kit itself looks fantastic to me.
  5. Your paintjob is amazing! What a shine! All over the 1987 turned out great! As you posted a picture of the rear end, I had to look up my 1986 because I didn't notice any different. Man, this is freaky well done! You have to compare the rear ends to see, what you've changed! I upload a picture of my 1986 if you don't mind. Then the interested reader could compare them. Very well done!
  6. There you're showing an awesome built! My totally respect. This kit has it's issues and you did a great job! I've built 3 ot the MPC kit (first issue) and on every built I had to tackle the problems you've mentioned. The doors always were a pain in the a... You know. In my shelf there is only one (my first) built T/A left. Maybe somedays I'll give it a restoration. Love your Trans Am!
  7. Digging some old builts out.... This C1 looks very nice. Very nice!
  8. So cool. And the driver in the 512 looks like Dean Martin and the passenger is Sammy Davis Jr - and now look to the movie "The Cannonball run" by 1981, who were driving a red 308
  9. Cool cars! So I'm sattling on this and show my 49 Mercury. Stock built of the AMT kit. Painted by rattle can. My wife decided I should go with the black roof. The wheels are of the Revell Woody kit because the AMT kit was this "supercool" Rides Magazine Custom Collection issue with this ugly too much to big wheels.
  10. Great color! I like your idea within the cabin with this foldes seat and open battery box. Sweet!
  11. The color looks fantastic on the Camaro and it matches pretty good to the interior.
  12. Like it! The color schema is so classic. A little nitice: it looks like the issue by Monogram (scale 1/24) or by ARII (but I don't think so because it looks like the hood can be opened). AMT/MPC never had this rims and they always built T-Top models (since the first issue around 1984). Only the Notchback came as coupe.
  13. It looks so good with the lights on. Also I like it when the head lights are popped up.
  14. I was hoping, that they produce the C8 in 1/25 like they did with the C6 and C7. I don't get it, why they changed the scale.... Nevertheless, I will get at least one for my collection. I am waiting so long for any plastic model kit. To me it's just amazing that no american manufacturer makes a kit of this. On my point of view it is THE sports car of the Americans. Good. No American manufacturer made any effort to cast the C7 as well. So why should the do the C8? But I'm reassured now that the C8 is finally coming. Now that the facelift starts in 2023I'm
  15. Well done Michael! You know it. We talked about it. Have to show mine too
  16. Fantastic model kit! I went through your wip and saw, how you got to the result of the corrrect body style. Well done, well done! Your paintjob is very good. I like the area around the water fall. Very nice model kit, which I'd like to have in my shelf.
  17. Good color choice, clean build and nice rims.
  18. I like the scene a lot. The 40s Ford is my favorite 40s car. I love it
  19. Just great! Great job.
  20. I couldn't tell on the first picture, whether it is real or a diorama. Awesome work!
  21. I have to see my stash. As far as I know, I have the 1973, 1974 and 1975 Pontiac Firebird Formula as well as a 1976 Pontiac Firebird in my shelf. All as the old Promo kits by MPC I think. I have to look at the rear window. I never noticed, that they should be different. I know the front bumper and grille are different and I think the rear bumper.
  22. So beautiful!
  23. I agree. Classic color combination. Nice one - for just "filling the gap" *lol*
  24. 8 years later! Tahnk you for digging that deep! Cool to see it and much better, to see the opening doors. Very nice.
