  1. Sure,,, It's factory stock you know. ?? https://public.fotki.com/SteveMilberry/gm_models/street/page12.html
  2. That's quite the conversion. Nice job too. Is that the Vic's resin kit?
  3. Just for fun. The '69 is resin and the '70 is AMT. The rest are MPC. Not shown in these pics are my white '74 hardtop and green and magenta '76s.
  4. I have been thinking about doing just that Craig.
  5. Just strips of decal sheet painted black. Easier than tapeing off the bed rails or painting them by hand.
  6. Hey, no need to be sorry about it. We all like different stuff. Sometimes a cover is better than the original,,, The Crash Test Dummies cover of "Peter Pumpkinhead" ,, to me, is much better than XTC's original. But that's just me. As with models,, the world would be pretty boring if we all liked the same stuff. ?
  7. Sorry Snake, I had to cut it off before 1/2 way. Love the original, this, not so much.
  8. Got a little more done. It's starting to look like something now. The inside is now finished except for a shifter. I'll find something before I glue the roof on. I really should have sanded those ejector pin marks off the inside of the doors but at the time the paint was just an experiment. I didn't want to mess with it so I left it alone. I'm trying for a whitewashed stain look for the floor of the box. I did the bed rails with strips of decal sheet sprayed black. Still need to be trimmed, of cores.
  9. This was one of the first "real kits" I had back when I was a kid. Notice I did not say "built" as you couldn't really say I had finished it. Sure had fun playing with it though. ? I'd advise attaching the head and tail light bezels, get the fit dialed in and re-prime before paint. And good luck with those doors.
  10. Picked this up Wednesday. Time to retire the Saturn.
  11. I think they're reasonably right for any '58 through to '66 Tom. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.
  12. Yea, Steve, I think I'll let this bear alone and not poke it any more. ?
  13. Oh, Come on guys, Seriously, You really feel that the kit that won is better than one of the kits Steve posted a pic of ? They are not his models, you know. I don't see where Steve's blaming the show sponsors of rigging the vote. He's just questioning the method used in letting anyone on the internet vote and maybe it should have been limited to people involved and/or entered in the contest. I expect next, some one's gonna say "shut up and go build something" ?
  14. Dan, I wish I had entered your group's show but I didn't know it was "on line" until it was too late to enter. I had seen the announcements but hadn't bothered to read them carefully as I had thought it was another "regular" style show ,, that there was no way I'd be able to attend. I'd like to think I'd have done well with my Chrysler. ?
  15. Yup, another MPC in blue plastic here. But I repaired it well enough for now.
  16. Is it just me or is the door handle on that model on upside down and backwards?
  17. I agree Steve. In a real contest, that Charger couldn't hold a candle to any of your entries. Box stock with sub-par paint? Right. BTW, I did vote for one of your cars, glad they weren't in the categories I was in. ?
  18. Hey James, I was just in Harvey last Thursday! ??
  19. I've had a few dreams where I've been driving either my '69 Riviera or my '73 Buick Centurion coupe. Possibly an unconscious yearning for the "good old days" of my late teens and early twenties. ?
  20. Fred Cady stopped selling decals many years ago. Possibly passed away, I'm not sure.
  21. That would be a '67.
  22. What year do you need? Revell made one that's been released a few times.
  23. Those look a lot like early Mustang seats but with different inserts. If it were me, I take a set of 1/24 Monogram '65/'66 Mustang seats, cut the inserts out and make new inserts cut from the Torino bench seat. As for the console, closest I can think of would be one from an early Fox Mustang. The MPC kits had separate ones but hard to find now.
  24. Funny you should mention that. I know for a '77 XS project car I've been thinking about taking a closer look at. I did stop to look at it once last year but it was pouring rain and I didn't like the looks of the two snakes that had taken up residence on the cowl by the windshield wipers. Looked just like this one but with all red leather interior.
