  1. Hey James, I was just in Harvey last Thursday! ??
  2. I've had a few dreams where I've been driving either my '69 Riviera or my '73 Buick Centurion coupe. Possibly an unconscious yearning for the "good old days" of my late teens and early twenties. ?
  3. Fred Cady stopped selling decals many years ago. Possibly passed away, I'm not sure.
  4. That would be a '67.
  5. What year do you need? Revell made one that's been released a few times.
  6. Those look a lot like early Mustang seats but with different inserts. If it were me, I take a set of 1/24 Monogram '65/'66 Mustang seats, cut the inserts out and make new inserts cut from the Torino bench seat. As for the console, closest I can think of would be one from an early Fox Mustang. The MPC kits had separate ones but hard to find now.
  7. Funny you should mention that. I know for a '77 XS project car I've been thinking about taking a closer look at. I did stop to look at it once last year but it was pouring rain and I didn't like the looks of the two snakes that had taken up residence on the cowl by the windshield wipers. Looked just like this one but with all red leather interior.
  8. Were those low back with separate headrests or the high back like in a Mustang?
  9. IIRC, it's called "silvering".
  10. Filled the big hole in the hood, added some material to the front and back ends and re-did the ridge up the center. I also have been working on the underhood area. Smoothed off the firewall and filled the cut-out with a piece of sheet stock. Also making new inner fenders using the inner fenders cut from the chassis plate of an MPC '79 Trans Am widened with sheet stock. It's just roughed in now and will need more work before I even think of paint.
  11. It's very real Gareth. Don't let the "snap kit" thing throw you, it's actually a nice, full kit that later lost the "snap" to become a full glue kit of the Impala SS.
  12. Loved everything about that episode, it was a hoot !! But most of the models were from the '90s or newer.
  13. Animal House
  14. Good news on both counts Steve. Congrats on the hardware. ???
  15. Sorry to hear that. I considered him a friend.
  16. This may help Roger.
  17. Looks good. I bet those pinstrip decals were a pain. I picked up one of these a couple years ago for a chassis and interior donor for an old '74 I had for decades. Wish I had picked up another one to build stock now.
  18. That was the old MPC kit. not the same.
  19. You might want to check out the engine in the current MPC "Deserter" Chevy pickup or an MPC/ MPC ElCamino Both have well detailed 2bbl Chevy small block engines with the cast iron exhaust manifolds that can easily pass for a 307 2bbl. The AMT Chevy van kits also have a similar engine with those exhaust manifolds but with a 4bbl intake.
  20. possibly
  21. Oh, OK. I was thinking it had a Vette rear suspension. Must have been thinking of something else.
  22. I don't know if you're aware of this or not but ,,, The AMT '39 Chevy "Wagonrod" has a full Art Morrison frame and suspension under it. The first issue even had a tiny "Art Morrison" decal. The AMT "Phantom Vicky" also has excellent independent suspension under both ends on a modern aftermarket style '32 frame.
  23. Here's a few shots of my '34. Fittingly, it was rebuilt from an old stock build. It was done about 15 years ago and still one of my favorits.
