  1. If you don't like that, don't look into the history of that 727. ? You may be shocked to find out the tooling of that kit was first released by Aurora in 1962.?
  2. I mean to the truck for sale in the link Gregg. The one in the pics has a grey dash and the one for sale has a black dash plus other differences. I'm not saying it's not a legitimate truck, just not as the trucks on the show were set up. Possibly, it war over-restored or maybe it was one the production company had built for promotional purposes ,, taken around to car shows and whatnot.
  3. Finished mote this year than I have in quite a while. I'll include a link to the build album with each pic. I finished this Thunderbird just days before the end of 2019 so I'll include it , , and because I'm extremely happy with how it turned out. ? https://public.fotki.com/SteveMilberry/projects/69-thunderbird-black/page2.html My custom '62 Chrysler was an extremely long term build. https://public.fotki.com/SteveMilberry/projects/62-chrysler-custom/ '64 Grand Prix. I've wanted to do a '64 Pontiac for ages ,, Thanks Steve !? https://public.fotki.com/SteveMilberry/projects/64-grand-prix/ A '69 Galaxie. This kit originally belonged to my cousin Rocky who passed away a few years ago. https://public.fotki.com/SteveMilberry/projects/69-ford-galaxie/ And lastly, my '29 Pickup. Fun build but it did test my patience at times. ? https://public.fotki.com/SteveMilberry/projects/29-ford-pickup-stre/ Thanks for looking and happy holidays to everyone , Skidoo Safe.
  4. That may be an original, but it sure isn't how the van looked on the show. Lots of little differences when compared to screen grabs from the actual show.
  5. John, I don't think it's all that bad. Just let it gas out for a couple days, wet sand it with finishing paper ,, maybe 4000 or 6000 grit to carefully get rid of most of the bubbles and shoot another coat or two of clear. I think you can save that paint, no problem. ?
  6. Hello Teijo, nice to meet you. ? I have been thinking about working on it for some time now. Maybe I'll get it done in the new year.
  7. The Detail Master interior junk photoetch set has a few on the sheet.
  8. Cool. I painted mine the same colors but haven't worked on it in over 10 years. BTW, what's your name buddy? I"m not gonna call you "scale".
  9. I have all the safari parts and plow parts in white plastic Tom Also, the "Commando" pickup version with the plow does have the long hardtop and full door panels according to the instruction sheet. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/mpc-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/jeep/mpc-commando-jeep-w/#media Like I said, I haven't looked at the instructions in years so it may be. Anyway, here's a shot I took for some reason of the sheet I have. Shows both the safari and spoof parts so they were both in the same kit at one point. I might take a look for that sheet sometime next week. Looks like al those extra parts were running changes and not unique to each year.
  10. Have you had anyone try to get those "Quicksilver" decals out of you yet Casey? ??
  11. I got this builtup years ago in a box of other built kits. The lot also came with a bunch of instruction sheets. The only Jeepster sheet in the lot was the one for the Safari version so I'd assume that came in it. I haven't looked at the sheet in years but I'm pretty sure it shows the long roof assembly.
  12. Had to make a new tray for the battery on my 1/1 so I knew the difference. I doubt most would notice the difference.
  13. Well, it is a beautiful girl.
  14. Um, Phil, before you go much farther, you might want to swap that battery over to the right side. ?
  15. Only if your equipment sucks. I still have most of the tapes I bought over the years, including my original copy of "Autoamerican" which plays and sounds as good now as it did 40 years ago. I paid almost as much for the deck in my T/A as I did for the car. It's a newer factory Pontiac 5 band EQ deck that's been rebuilt and modified to work in my '85 , which no one really thinks that much of as "high end" but what most people don't know is it's all Blaupunkt guts in them. They sound great if they're kept up and the head's properly adjusted and kept clean. And, yes, I can play my phone and MP3 player through it too. But, I do have a 12 disk Pioneer changer sitting in the basement, brand new, still in it's box, to put in the car sooner or later just to keep my options open. ? But I do find that a lot of disks are victims of "The Loudness Wars". [google it !!] BTW, any of you guys ever hear of "Discogs"
  16. The Auto World site has them. Sold out most other places. https://www.autoworldstore.com/category-s/234.htm They're kinda pricey though at almost $19.00 for two wheels.
  17. Just what I was searching for. The centers are supposed to be 3-D printed.
  18. I wonder if any of the guys who were put off that it's a "snap kit" will change their minds after seeing this? I'm definitely in for one or two.
  19. Yes, they are a handful but luckily, I like to do the bodywork. ? But they can look good with some work.
  20. Ernst Stavros Blofeld had several debonders, none of them were effective.
  21. Looks great. Excellent job detailing, especially the wheels.

    Brat Rat

I'm really not a fan of rat rods but I got to admit, this is really cool ! ???
  23. Using the AMT '65 annual custom rear pan and tail light bezels. The bumper was dremmeled down from the kit part. I also started flaring the rear wheel openings to match the front custom parts.
  24. Headlights replaced grille replaced with one cut from an AMT '72 Blazer part and detail painted. I'm gonna run some Tamiya smoke around the headlight lenses later to highlight them.
