  1. Very cool. The Barracuda and '60 wagon are like The Spanish Inquisition! ???
  2. That's what I read in the Scale Auto review of the kit back when the it was released. AMT never did a '78 or later 2nd gen.
  3. I'd suggest adding some sort of bodywork surround to the grille opening to smooth it off. Like what a Mercury has to give it a more "finished" look, maybe even use parts from a Mercury. The AMT '49 Ford coupe and '50 convertible both have custom pieces that could easily be adapted for this. Different year but you get the idea.
  4. Mark, Just an FYI, the '72 Blazer roof is exactly the same parts. Probably easier to find parts from the Blazer as it was reissued a couple times. In fact, apart from the chrome tree and decals, the kits are identical.
  5. Yea, I thought some of that artwork looked familiar. AMT released them in North America too.
  6. Luc, are all these going to be in 1/24 or some other scale?
  7. Looks great. Nice to see one built stock.
  8. Larry, just a FYI, I have a set of Stage-1 455 valve covers hanging in the garage and compared the measurements to the AMT '69 Riviera valve covers and they scale out about right so the 430 in the Riv is scaled correctly. Not great on detail though.
  9. so, here's what I've been able to get done since last time,,, Trimmed the floor sections out of the shallow interior bucket to get some depth there. Also trimmed off some from the chassis plate and will add it back in with a tranny hump that was missing from the interior. Did the base painting on the interior. It was so long since I painted the cream color that I forgot I did it and thought it was the bare plastic color. ? Did the seat inserts by dabbing on some slightly thinned Testors rust for a patterned cloth kinda look. The floor sections will be flocked in a similar shade. The dash was done in rust also with the upper part of the bucket. Dosen't show very well but I did the white accents on the door panels. Went around the windows with some black semi-gloss and installed the glass. Made simple motor mounts and got the engine set where I want it . I have an extra long weekend coming up and plan to get some chassis work done as well as maybe finish up the interior.
  10. Why did you mount the bumpers under thier skirts, Jim? Just for the look?
  11. Don't know what you're looking at, John , but the car at the link definitely does not have the scoops on the rear deck Declan's talking about.
  12. I think he means those scoops on the rear deck behind the side windows, Trevor. I don't remember ever seeing a Pantera with them before either, but I really never paid much attention either.
  13. Yea, it's been noticed. The thread could have had a better, more descriptive title though.
  14. Interesting, another tooling that's supposed to no longer exist. Hope the other bikes "show up" too.
  15. Exactly. I do the same.
  16. So, begs the question, how many here have now watched that video and upped buddy's view numbers that would have otherwise never watched it? ?
  17. You mean the hood trim like on these ones, John? ?

Jimmy, if you want a better detailed chassis [and easier to find] the chassis from the Revell '64-'66 Chevy pickups drop right in with minimal trimming of the front bumper brackets.
  20. That would be an annual, Dennis. None of the 2nd gen annuals had cut T-tops. Only the "Blackbird", which is a different tooling from the annual kits had them already cut. The '77/'78 that's out now is the Blackbird tooling. If you really want a '77 with the solid roof, it's easier to swap the body with the '80 kit, which has the solid roof. Both have separate front ends and should swap easily.
  21. Well, the '68 chassis plate is under the '76 Caprice. Pretty sure MPC never did a '67.
  22. Cool,, it's just an educated guess though.
  23. Yea, I never could quite make out that line either until I seen them printed out and I bought the album[cassette] new back in '82. [42 years ago ?] ,,IIRC, that tape is either in the console of my T/A right now or in the model room near one of my cassette decks.
