  1. Yea but when's the last time you seen a '57 Chevy 4dr hardtop? It's got to be one of the rarer body styles of '57.
  2. Here's a couple AMT kits that I cleared with the Testors . Sprayed it on pretty heavy strait from the can too.
  3. It's 1/24. The old Revell bug from the '70s was 1/25. I've been tinkering with the Spiderman version I have of the Herbie kit and it's the same size as the new tool 1/24 Revell bug that came out a couple years ago.
  4. Looks great ! My dad's best friend had a white '67 hardtop in '73/'74. Still remember the tour of Vancouver he took us on in it back then.
  5. I just went in, let's see if anyone else does.
  6. Yes. The '77 Ventura Sprint came out then MPC retooled it into a '77 Nova. Same chassis, most of the engine, interior and glass . Just new body and chrome for the Nova.
  7. Dan, did I do something to offend you or are you just trying to start a fight? I did not know that, I had checked the "Vette brochures starting at '7 and going up to '77 and I seen no mention of them in the literature. . I find your post offensive and think you could have easily have worded it in a much more mature manner.
  8. Funny thing about those wheels is they wern't actually available from the factory until sometime in '75 or '76. MPC put them in as the custom option and based them on the wheels that were on the 4 rotor wankle prototype from '73. [AKA " Aerovette" after the wankle was swapped out for a regular V8]
  9. Just because you can see color on the edges of the glass does not mean it's necessarily all the way through. Here's a pic of a couple I tinted a few years ago with Tamiya acrylics. The edges look green like it's all the way through but I know it's not as the only color on them is what I sprayed on the inside surface myself.
  10. Looks great. BTW, what are those wheels, I could use a couple sets of those.
  11. The front and back bumpers , back grille and tailights on this Lincoln are Modelhaus. I've never a problem with thier plating.
  12. The pilot and at least some of the episodes are on youtube.
  13. Very nice.
  14. That's the same one I have. Just checked, no grille.
  15. All the same chassis and engine all the way back to the first one in '78. The first of those kits, which was 2 wheel drive shares most of the parts too. Kris, if you had a copy of the 2 wheel drive front suspension it could be used directly on the 4X4 frame. BTW, I offered the front suspension from my unbuilt example to a couple people for casting years ago in exchange for a couple copys for myself and there were no takers.
  16. The '66 Mercury, '53 Vette and the AMT "Xtasy" and "KISS" custom Chevy vans have Strippers. A buddy of mine had a set on his '72 Vette when he got it.
  17. Now in Zinzer BIN primer. Still have to repair around the tailights and there's some small spots that need attention but I think it's looking pretty good. I'm gonna use the Revell '63 interior as this will be a custom so the pleated inserts on the doors and seats will be a nice custom touch.
  18. This is an old build. Must be about 15 years old now or more. Built when the kit first came out but I never shot any pics of it until today. It seems to have held up pretty well except for the missing mirror.
  19. Any year JoHan Caddy Eldorado also has the same chassis and engine. The only difference is some of them had Cadillac script on the valve covers but they were all Olds engines in the kits.
  20. That body looks great now Dan.
  21. I thought I read somewhere back then that they were doing to do a new Demon body and chrome tree for the newer tooling '71 Duster. Maybe new seats but the ones in the kit may also be correct for a Demon, I think they are but I'm not sure.
  22. No. The fuzz duster is a Volare and the convoy chased is a Dart. The kits don't share anything.
  23. No worries Jeff, I'm just joking about the situation, if I was mad I wouldn't have posted the last pic
  24. Thanks Snake. Like I said, that gas cap had me fooled. I'm gonna change the title of the thread now.
