  1. Anyone mention Colin James? ,,
  2. Colby, are you looking for a regular non-hidden headlight grille or a hidden headlight grille with the headlight doors open?
  3. Yup, they used the chassis and engine., not the body
  4. It was but Monogram did something similar by putting a "cap" on the back of the Vette so it looked like a wagon. I think it was then turned into the '66 "Stingray" TV show car then the "Black Rat" then the stock '66 or '65 and now the Penske race version. Could have been the 4 door "Corvette America" somewhere in there too.
  5. Maybe the new Yenko Nova will be a '70 LT-1 "Deuce" ?
  6. I built this one over 15 years ago. don't mind the dust. LOL Corrected the side windows as this was built from the first issue. BTW, these trucks only came in white with red trim from the factory. I simply boxed in the foot wells on mine with sheet plastic. No one ever sees it anyway.
  7. The cab side window problem was corrected years ago. Pretty sure it was before the yellow version.
  8. That issue is one of the serise of simplier kits Round 2 did back in 2009 aimed at younger builders. Molded in color and less parts count. also in that serise were the ,, '55 Nomad '57 Chevy '55 Chevy Cameo pickup '70 Camaro Z-28 '66 Pro-Street Nova '33 Willys gasser '06 Camaro concept car It's pretty easy to tell them from other kits by the artwork. Just a pic of the model on the box with "speed lines" n the bascground fading to light grey under the model.
  9. I have at least one of all that generation Impala/Caprice, they all have that chassis, as does the MPC '68 that I have. The MPC '69 and '70s I've seen also have that chassis. Charlie may be thinking of the AMT '70 chassis, which would be a good substitute for the MPC one. A bit more detail but not really all that great either.
  10. Looks really great !
  11. Also keep in mind that the Turbine car was also sold by X-El in the '80s so it may not be an original.
  12. Looks great. Could easily pass for the real thing in a couple of your pics.
  13. Yes, the bodys are the same. The louvres for the GT are moulded to the body and have to be sanded off for the Cobra version.
  14. Yea, kind of a big stretch listing Shania as rock, Carl. , , , Besides, Alannah always was much hotter.
  15. Yea, same here.
  16. Local guy from my area. Not hard rock but more singer/songwriter style. and a great song.
  17. Since I missed out the first time, here's my '76. I used to own a 1/1 '76 Caprice Classic Landau back in the '80s. Loved that car but I traded it for a '69 Riviera.
  18. Really? That's about what the diecasts go for at my local walmarts, and I'm in Canada. I was looking at one of thier Ford GTs last week, thinking about getting one for the nice Shelby Cobra wheels but I think I'd need two so I could have a set of four all the same size .
  19. Mack, if you go to your local walmart and look over thier smaller scale Jada diecasts I'm sure you;ll find a couple with those wheels on them.
  20. OK, now THAT"S cool !!
  21. No, that's a base model grille. Don't know of any in resin and I'm 99.9 % sure it was never in a kit.
  22. Just came from checking my kits, Both the new Revell and Polar Lights bugs are 1/24. The bodys are almost identical in size. Just slightly bigger than the old Revell 1/25 bug I compared them both to.
  23. Revell has a new tool euro spec '68 [ish] one that just came out a couple years ago which is excellent and polar lights has one that's issued in "Spiderman" livery at the momment that's a bit less detailed but comes with some optional parts and 3 or 4 wheel options. Less detailes but still not bad.
  24. Just beautiful Steve.
