Wow, you must have been right on top of that post Luc, I don't think it was even 5 minutes before I found the correct spelling for Hasagawa and corrected my mistake. -

Satco mainly reissued various Japanese kits so I'd bet it was just a rebox of the Hasegawa curbside kit. -

Pretty close there Ace. The hood, side marker lights and rear pan is different too. Not sure on the sew patterns on the interior but I'll post a pic so someone can compare it to a '71. [BTW, I added clear headlight lenses to this one] -
The story I've always heard is all the open panels made the body quite prone to warping so they had to close them up.

Some really SMART guys talk about American education...

I recognise that guy ,, he used to be a regular on "Ancient Aliens". -
Pretty well the only Zep songs the local rock station play are the immigrant song and wholelotta love ,, every day, at least once a day each ,, all year since the station came on the air about 10 years ago. I like this tune though ,, thought about building the Chevy at one time.

The '70 Charger is supposed to be an "all new" kit ,, It'll be interesting to see just what we get. Personally, I have an MPC annual so I'm good.

The grille and bumpers are pretty accurate for an '83/'84 lower trim level single headlight grille. They had the lenses molded in though. The upper level vans used quad headlights. The body also has a character line on the lower 1/2 that the earlier vans didn't have. Plus you get a nice air dam and set of fender flares. The cut up driver's seat was no loss as it was an ugly custom peice to start with. AMT should have updated the seats and dash at the time too but didn't bother.

I did start on one of the Model King issues I have and I did cut the front pan away from the chassis pan. Only way I could see to get a good fit. It's still in primer in it's box now though.

You're right Luc. The character lines around the wheel openings are now smoothed over and IIRC, the gas cap is no longer factory stock. I think there's some other small things but I'm too lazy to go down stairs right now to compare my copy to the '74 annual I have. -
About that fuel pump ,, on my 1/1 '69 Riv, it was in the tank attached to the float for the fuel gage. Came from the factory like that. Now that was a 430 engine, not the 425 nailhead like in '66 so I'm not sure all that generation of Riv was like that. My '72 Riv had a standard mechanical pump on the engine as did the other 4 Buicks I had. update ,, it seems just the '69 and '70 Rivs had the pump in the tank but you could say one was refit to the '66. [BTW, I'd be more worried about the lack of headlights than the fuel pump.]

Looks like a set of 8 spoke wagon wheels from a MPC Jeep CJ kit with the spokes painted would get you pretty close to the stock '80 wheels. The centers kinda look like the "volcano" centers from the AMT Gremlin kit wheels.

Just copied this from Wiki,, In May 2014, Mark Andes, bassist of the group Spirit, and a trust acting on behalf of Randy California, filed a copyright infringement suit against Led Zeppelin and injunction against the "release of the album containing the song" in an attempt to obtain a writing credit for the late California.[26] A lack of sufficient resources is cited as one of the reasons that Spirit’s members and their survivors did not file the suit earlier. A friend of California's mother explained: "Nobody had any money, and they thought the statute of limitations was done", adding, "It will be nice if Randy got the credit". If the Spirit lawsuit is successful, past royalties earned by the song—estimated at more than US$550 million—will not be part of the settlement, but the publisher and composers may be entitled to a share of the future profits.[27][28] On 11 April 2016 a Los Angeles district judge ruled that there were enough similarities between the song and an instrumental for a jury to decide the claim and a trial was scheduled for 10 May. The copyright infringement action was brought by Michael Skidmore, a trustee for the late Wolfe.[

I first hears of this several years ago and wondered back then why it never went to court. Apparently Spirit was an opening act for them in part of one of thier '70s North American tours. [ first one I think] I never was a Zep fan, before my time.

That's really cool Larry.

This pic is supposed to have come from Ed Sexton of Revell according to the original posted on the other site so???

Michael, I tint madel glass all the time with the Tamiya clear acrylics. Here's how I do it,, Mist on your clear color coats. This will leave the clear part looking foggy. It won't look very good at first. Then after the clear color is completely dry, give it a couple coats of regular acrylic clear. It will look better but not perfect. Wet sand the clear with about 6000 or 8000 grit being careful not to sand through the clear to the color coats and give it another couple coats of clear. When dry, wet sand and polish like any other clear coated paintjob. This has worked for me for over a decade now. Here's a pic of some I did a few years ago. As you can see they're in a "factory shade" of tint but completely clear. [I do them a bit darker now as it doesn't show up as dark in the pics as they actually are.]

Very sharp ! ,, You don't often see someone do the headlight trim properly on those Caddy kits.

I think the Hangman kit was reverse engineered back to the Dragon Wagon from which it originated. They changed the name to "Circus Wagon " though.
