    I'd rather have a good looking curbside with an engine than a full detailed kit with incorrect proportions and body lines. Your truck looks great! Here is a SB I did years ago.. I like this kit TBH.

    No, the 57 Ford is a totally different chassis. You could use the AMT 56 Thunderbird chassis or even the AMT 56 Ford but that one would not have the center "X" member. Also, with some surgery you could remove the front bumper from the grill on the 57, trim the bumper to clear the fenders and use the '56 Thunderbird grill, same grill. Now I never checked scale accuracies but the front clip from the 56 can be swapped and use the 57 bumper. As seen by the comparison pics, the parking light holes are the only difference in the front clip. Gray car is a 57, red is a 56

    Dad's car is a Fairlane 500, not a wagon.

    Well, there are inaccuracies on the body. You can see in my review here: Page 6 shows the tail light bezel issue ( John Goschke ) and page 9 shows some issues I see.

    Additions to the '57 would not be my concern, corrections would be. I highly doubt it though.

    What needs trimmed is the bumper below the headlights. The fenders extend behind the bumper.

    I look at that myself, but usually keep quiet when it's not. Sometimes people like the look when its turned around.
