  1. I have a set of these tires and have no clue what they came from. They say Good Year Eagle GS-C on both sides but with different lettering, and there is a front and rear set. The rear is slightly wider than the front. I need a few sets and do not know what kit they were from. Anybody have a clue?
  2. I am in for the Pinto Chevelle and Firebird. As for the Revell Chevelle, I have to see it first. Revell has been very disappointing to me lately. Didn't someone make a decal for the AMT Chevelle tail lights that you used after filling the hole?
  3. You are comparing apples to oranges. The flipnose kit is originally from the 70's and has it's flaws. The Revell is a newer tool and "should" be more accurate. But this is not always the case.
  4. Okay, after the flu and a fall from a ladder, I have an update, Got the chassis done, just need to do some paint touch up and details. Wheels are from the Monogram Heavy Chevy Chevelle I modified the wheel wells for the tire fit and have started fitting some Revell interior panels. Now, mind you, this is being built from parts box stuff. I have not started or used a complete kit, just leftovers.
  5. This was the first issue I ever built
  6. I am hoping for this and the 64 Galaxie
  7. Been watching for a Rat Trap Vega on the auction site. I can stop now.... I think that and the Riv will make it home, maybe the 57
  8. I am doing one, but it is not finished yet. Top chop is, but not the remainder of the bodywork.
  9. Superb.... Can't say nothing more
  10. Wow.... That kit is nice out-of-the-box, but you are stepping it up.
  11. I can't wait to see it. I have the AMT kit and it is actually pretty nice too

    I'd say ya nailed it!
  13. Looking good. Great details
  14. No real progress other than a fill piece for the rear. Looking at an interior plan now.
  15. Well, with some looking, I found the AMT Grand Prix stock car chassis fits pretty well although the wheelbase is too short. I decided to lengthen it at the front rather than the middle. Engine will be the Charger kit Hemi and set back since the firewall is back also. Still not sure where it is going, but it is not going to be a "race" car and it will be low.
  16. I love those cars!!! Have any more info on the kit?
  17. I usually do not do build threads, but maybe this will keep me from stalling out. Well, I enjoy taking kits that everyone grumbles about and can get cheap and trying to do something with them. This kit is not super horrible, just an old simple MPC tool. Started life as a F&F Charger parts kit, but having the body glass and bumpers, I thought I would do something with it. First I cut some reliefs in the fenders and brought down the nose. At this point, the roof looked funny, so I cut reliefs in the "C" pillar and took about 3/32 out of the "A" pillar and pulled the front down which gave it a better look. Warmed the hood in hot water and gave it a bend to match the front end. At this point I am moving to find a suitable suspension. I have no clue where this is heading, just winging it. Comments and suggestions always appreciated
  18. I just looked at a Taurus block and it is definitely not generic. Looks like a Ford. Oil filter location, timing cover/water pump, starter location all look Ford.
  19. The Thunderbird Taurus didn't.... JS Thanks... Well, that makes me not need an Intrepid donor for a project. You saved me some coin.
  20. Am I delusional, or do the Revell Dodge Intrepids have Chevy engines?
  21. That is really cool... As a 1:1 it would be scary as hell to drive!
  22. They must keep the "good stuff" in the back room
  23. That Nova breaks down a lot..... Always in the garage......
  24. Looking good
  25. Thank you everyone.... Lots of great info here.
