L700 modified dragster transport

Wow, I am usually in the car section and decided to look here because I have an L700 on the bench.... Low and behold, the first topic is L700. This is what I can say thus-far. Slow and steady with the doors, and paint before they are on. I had them on and working and broke them painting. Also, the pins on the rear axle are pretty soft/fragile. I drilled mine out and inserted solid Evergreen rod. Other than that, it is going together pretty well. I did buy a second kit and plan to extend the frame to make a car hauler, but with a twist, a dirty grungy hemi under the cab. Also, the truck has a nosedive look, something needs done on my next to level it out. -
When it comes to AMT 57 Thunderbirds, you have set the bar really high.........

Cool, I missed it last time -

Very nice.... I like the bright too. What is the paint?

Easy, they use the 70 body.

Great job on those panel lines, especially the trunk and tail light bezels. Looking great.

And your builds are beautiful and photography is second to none. My 57 Custom hit a snag, went into the purple pond because there was a flaw I couldn't look past. Been in the box since.

on page 6 of the Del Rio review I list the problems, on page 9 I posted pictures with descriptions of the major flaws. There are actually more. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/95522-125-revell-ford-del-rio-ranch-wagon-2n1/?page=6

Those Capri's are so cool. Great job on it!

That Del Rio needs a lot of work to look right, that 56 on the other-hand, will look right out of the box. Keep going, love these 56 Fords and do not see enough built.

I have a 60 annual in my stash, and a 60 salvage project that is going custom since it is so rough. Found the 65 Galaxie frame is a really nice fit, although nowhere near correct.

Welcome from Ohio, USA. Looking forward to seeing your builds and you will find a lot helpful building tips, and more helpful people on these pages.

Agree...... Once we see it, then we will know for sure. I hope it is not a die cast conversion and they have the body right.

Pretty cool getting a 68, but since it is all new, and from Revell, I will wait to see the reviews, good and bad.

one of those old school kits I like. I am sure I will add another or three
