My hat is off to those brave fly boys that do that for a living! Knew a Pilot from Wisconsin that used to do that. Flew a C-119! Had pictures of it in flight making drops and with him and crew next to it.

No Nick, I have faith in our Cardiologist! If it was not for him sending my wife to Northwestern for her last open heart in 2012 rather than letting the local surgeon do it here she would not be here today!(that right from his mouth) We dang near lost her up there so would have here for sure! My wife had an appointment with him Monday and she told him what happened and he went right back out and she could hear him chewing the other Doctor's but out and then telling his PA "I never want to have him covering my patients ever again!" the came back in and apologized for what had happened. Got a call this morning from the Doctor himself reassuring me that my tests were all good and he would discuss where to go from here on my appointment tomorrow.

Tom, for about 2 years I fought with Jack about every night and guess what? He always won. It is a very easy bridge to cross as I have crossed it myself and for the life of me cannot remember why, but had enough sense left to get back over to the other (safe) side and have never looked back! We have a daughter that is fighting demons of her own right now (pot, opiods & crack according to her daughter) and is always calling for money from us, her brothers, her kids and uncles and aunts and I have told them all DO NOT support her habit for her (and her husband who got her started). Hard to hear her claim she is starving when we know what she really wants money for but we just keep telling her when she proves to us she had gotten straight then and only then will we try and help. It is tough to tell your kid no even when it's something like this but important to when it is something like this!

and when he isn't out racing he's out rolling out asphalt for the local construction company! That is some serious meat under the rear of that long roof! I love it!

Our oven quit and the repair guy said igniter was bad, no joy. Said gas safety valve must be bad, replaced, no joy. Then he comes back in with a multi tester checks something then announces that the control pad is bad Antilles me it would cost more than the stove is worth. Told him we would just buy a new one. He writes up the bill and it was for almost 450 bucks! He wanted to charge me for the parts he installed that didn't fix it! Said he had to because they were already installed! After a very lengthy argument that my wife ended by informing him I had just got out of the hospital for chest pain and asked why he didn't test the power from the panel first he relented and removed the parts and charged us 75 bucks for the service call! I just love that woman!!!

Lots of us out here!

My biggest fear was kneeling over in front of all those little kids! Especially our granddaughter who was just 4 feet in front of us! The doctor was one that was covering for my cardiologist this weekend. I see my regular guy on Friday and believe me he will get an ear full! He is the best in town and always reissues me that I'm not in danger of dropping dead anytime soon from my heart! As someone said I do have acid reflux. It already progressed into Barretts Esophogus and sometimes the chest pain gets so intense it plays with your head.

Friday morning went to Granparent's day at our youngest granddaughters preschool. On the way there had an event of chest pain that quickly subsided but left hy heart rate higher than normal. Figured would get through the hour long event then hit the doctor's office on the way home but after easing off during their little show they were putting on my heart rate took off for the sky and chest pain returned. I held out until they were done with their program and they got the kids out to the classroom and my son's moth-in-law called 911. So a 19 minute ambulance ride and admission to the hospital outpatient observation unit for the night. All the other issues went away other than my heart rate occasionally jumping up and even that went down to normal, well below normal as when I sleep I will drop into the 40's. with the top BP number in the 90's. Couldn't have anything after midnight because of having a stress test on Sat which didn't happen until 11:30. Then when the girl had me prepped she couldn't get a call back from the doctor that was supposed to be in attendance. Finally she got hold of someone in the department who informed her that the doctor had decided to scrub in on another doctors procedure. They wound up with a nurse and a "Fellow" that came in to administer the contrast and watch that they didn't kill me on the treadmill! Later they called the doctor for the results so they could determine if I could go home or needed more tests and he insisted that I had not had the test yet because he was not there to do it. After finally getting him to check he found the results HAD been sent to him and he said there was nothing abnormal in them and released me at around 4:00 yesterday. I have a followup with my cardiologist on Friday which was an already scheduled appointment. I still want to know why every 12-18 months I wind up in the hospital for this same issue that they can never find anything wrong!!!

Art is the man! You really nailed it! This could have been something that would have been built back then if one looks back at some of the wild looking body designs that were run!

It is what they came with on day one, so why not! Those old cars tend to handle like you know what on radials. -

Building the Revell 1950 Oldsmobile - We're Finished! 10/30/12
OldTrucker replied to Len Carsner's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I know this is a really old thread but found it again after a long time of being away and even seeing I had posted when I was here back then. Had this kit in my stash that I had got for Christmas in 2014. Googled the car and found this old thread and now I know how I will build it! I didn't remember this thread and didn't realize the Buck Baker decals were in the kit! That is the car I will build! Thanks Len and Bill for this thread! -
Great color for that car! Beautifully done!

Looks great! Follows a trend I have seen the last few years of guys rescuing old farm trucks and service vehicles and updating the drive train and interior but leaving that rustic look on the body! Then a few that have actually nailed down replicating that look too!
