Looks really good! I always like the body style of this car and even bought a 1:1 (thought is was a steal) only to find it was almost rusted in half at the cowl area of the sub-frame.
  2. What a beauty! Shame it won't look that good after it's first battle!
  3. Looks like this old bug is in need of a restoration! Great job of weathering!
  4. Just when I get them thinned out I wind up with more than I had to begin with it seems as new stuff comes out! Especially when they keep popping out the old kits from days gone past! I have finally come to realize that after I'm taking a dirt nap I won't really care about anything let along what happens to my models! So I just don't let it worry me!
  5. That is a whole lot of white!!! Beautiful build Jim!
  6. Krylon Bahama Sea.
  7. Thanks Bill, that was what I wanted to know!
  8. Nice looking Edsel! The colors look good on it! I always thought the Edsel was a good looking car even when others said it was ugly!
  9. X2! Saw the title and did not ever remember seeing that kit! Nice looking build!
  10. For all the built cars I would suggest maybe looking into Carney Plastics display cases that hold like 21 cars each.
  11. I like it! The 61 Impala was one of the best looking Chevys built!
  12. That was built in 1968. I originally painted it candy rootbeer with a big white stripe down the middle but it looked horrible so later on that summer I repainted it green. I altered the high rise dual quad intake I got from a friend and added it to the 427 and had a hole in the hood. Few years later added the hood scoop. Other than that is has never been touched and never will be.
  13. The wife was kind of bummed out. She still has the issue of Play Girl with him in it! I can remember him as "The Comanche" halfbreed blacksmith Quint on Gunsmoke!
  14. I built this one in 1968 and the only thing change was the addition of the hood scoop. This one was built in earlyto mid 1980's I guess?
  15. If I add new pictures in fotki and arrange the new ones to fit in order by the year will the moving of the other pictures mess up pictures alresdy posted to a forum?
  16. Nope, it's the old AMT kit!
  17. Well, I'd say it is more like a convertible forces you to detail an interior more carefully than you normally would!
  18. It was just Testors rattle can red enamel.
  19. The box was on the decal sheet. I just cut it out and glued it!
  20. Simple little kit but was a fun build back when I did it! Used the hubcaps from a 66 Galaxie and I did toss out the Chevy motor in the kit and replaced it with a 302. (Would have pictured it if the car wasn't buried somewhere in the closet.)
  21. This is a recent build. Got it for Christmas so had to build it. While I was not into building convertibles I think I could learn to like them!
  22. The key is a whole lot of test fitting before gluing!
  23. Looks like it was dragged out of the river and then new ties put on and made to run!
  24. Krylon Appliance Bisque if I remember right.
