Nothing to write home about. Tough kit to make look good without major redestruction. I was replicating one I built long ago that was a replica of a car the mechanic across the street from us at a Shell station owned when we lived in Portage Wi. Didn't take any under hood shots as there is little to look at kit wise. But it came out a lot better than I had hoped. Even with narrowing the bumper without refinishing it.
  3. First off make sure God gets his cut as called for. Then... I'd buy property and build homes for all our kids with a trust to pay the taxes and maintenence. Set up trusts for all our grandkids Last make sure the wife and I are taken care of. I'd send her to the Mayo Clinic and say "fix her up" never mind the cost! Then I'd buy me a 69 Malibu and have it redone just like the one I had in the 70's!
  4. Great save! Looks good enough for the gal I go with!
  5. Nice clean build of the best looking of the Tri 5's!
  6. The only airbrush I have is the old can fed Testors and it is still new in the box around 20 years old!
  7. I went into Taco Bell and tried to order a Dominos Pizza and when the girl looked at me very puzzed and said they don't sell pizzas I then asked for a bucket of chicken but by then the manager had come to the counter and told me either place an order or leave!LOL Some people have no sense of humor so I went two doors down to Taco Johns!
  8. Pay it forward Steve! I'm sure you know someone here that is worthy of this kit and would be pleased to build it!
  9. I had the Mod Squad Merc wagon! Made a hot rod out of it and gave the surfboards and figures to a friend along with the band members from the garbage truck kit!
  10. Ray, I actually put the backup lights there as a rememberane of my 64 which had them in the wrong location when I traded for it and I just left them there. Guess I should put them where they belong! I used clear with a little white added over bare metal foil.
  11. Beautiful Mustang! Great work!
  12. So scarce I don't even remember it!!! Sweet looking car!
  13. Was going to build this to represent one I once owned but decided to go box stock. This and the 65 GTO were finished up about the same time and are a few years old builds as are most of what I have been posting.
  14. This kit hung around for a long time before I gave in and built it as a vert. Wanted to do the hard top but couldn't get it right with the roof. Yes, I forgot to dechrome the hood insert and paint body color with the hood.
  15. I see a whole lot of imagination and hard work in these builds!
  16. That is a real slick looking Corvette! Great job!
  17. That looks fantastic! I hope they bring this one back!
  18. That was why I went ahead and used Bare Metal Foil over it.
  19. My kid had this Polar Lights prepaint car gave to him and he didn't like it. I decided that I liked the red but it was TOO red so added the black top. tires from the parts box and a little detail painting including two tone red interior. Came out pretty nice!

Saved from the trash. Was brush painted horribly and half finished in a trash can on my brother-in-laws deck where his kid left it! Stripped repainted and with a lot of parts from the parts box it came out nice.
  21. Just built it how I remembered them locally!
  22. I think he may be a real zombi!
  23. It brings one back to the reality that we are also getting old and the days and years grow shorter and shorter!
