  1. The '57 Ford was available with a 312 engine...why bother modifying it to get another whopping 9 cubic inches? I suspect the decal is a figment of somebody's imagination.
  2. Nice looking '55. Is that the kit-supplied engine? While it is technically correct, most V-8 '55 Chevies had the optional, dealer-installed oil filter mounted on passenger side of the intake manifold (unless the car had A/C, in which case the filter housing was mounted on the driver's side).
  3. Sorry, I just couldn't resist. An alternative might be a old leather wallet (garage sale special). Very thin leather!
  4. Thank you for the clarification.
  5. What if it's resin?
  6. Sounds like a plan to me!
  7. A stellar example of a thread being hi-jacked.
  8. Re-read the very first post in this thread, where it says "Lately, I've noticed that threads seem to contain many more photos than the Photo Bucket era. In a few cases, 40 or more photos appear in the opening comments on the thread, with only slight differences (rotated ten degrees, etc.) in each photo."
  9. I think you missed the point...the quality of the images is not the issue, it's the quantity of the images.
  10. The bottle appears to be plastic...you'd have a huge mess on your hands
  11. and a drill bit the same size as the tubing being bent
  12. Very different and well done. You might want to edit (if possible) your topic title...I suspect you intended it to be 2018, not 2108.
  13. I agree. I'd also consider using Molotow instead of Alclad
  14. Very nice weathering and patina. How well would that 421 start using a 6 volt battery?
  15. Is there a way to edit an old thread? I want to refresh the pictures and get rid of that useless (and material-covering) Photo Bucket water stamp. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/102629-bending-tubing/ I don't see an Edit icon anywhere in the thread.
  16. Very nicely done! Your panel lines (door edges, and especially the gas flap) look stellar! All too often there is a stark difference between the panel line and the surrounding paint...how did you do yours?
  17. If you take some electrical shrink vinyl, you can cover up those teeth...one piece over each side of the clip.
  18. Very nicely done! I noticed it has a radio but no antenna...
  19. If you use a toothbrush, get a pediatric toothbrush...very soft bristles.
  20. Very nicely done! Any engine pictures?
  21. I like the pancake hood and trunk! I'm curious why there are two carbs but only a single exhaust...
